<br />Board met in regular session at 7-15 P. IT. John J. Olejniczak absent.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following Improvement
<br />Resolutions;
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I62 for the pavement of Laurel Street from ,
<br />Division Street to a point 130.56 feet south of the south line of Monroe Street.

<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I63 for the pavement of TTiner Street from east
<br />10 line of Madison Park Addition to Harriett Street. (See files for copy of resolution,)
<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators
<br />appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in 1
<br />the nremis'es, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable I
<br />to be assessed for said imx,rovements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as
<br />reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore to ces final action on said improve 1
<br />men-1- resolutions and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved {
<br />without modification.
<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions numbered 2162 and 2163
<br />the Board hereby orders that sealed proposals will be received, opened and read up to.
<br />7-I5 P. ?°'. , on the 2nd. , day of January 1929. The Board further orders that notices i
<br />of said proposals shall be published on the 20th., day of December and on the 27th.,
<br />day of December I928, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law. i

<br />In the above named improvement ;resolution, remonstrators appeared but
<br />j no written remonstrance was filed. Resident bronerty owners were present asking the
<br />1_ Board to approve:_ said resolution. After hearing all persons interested in said
<br />imnrovem_ent resolution and being fully advised in the premises, the Board finds that
<br />the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liabletto be assessed for said
<br />improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City F4nginee .
<br />The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement resolution and
<br />declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification.
<br />The Board now orders that on the 2nd., day of January 1929, this Board will receive,
<br />open and read sealed proposals for the construction ff said improvement up to 7-I5
<br />The Board further orders that notices of such proposals shall be published on the 20th
<br />day of '�ecember and on the 27th. , day of December I928 in the South Bend Dews Times and
<br />Tribune according to law.
<br />• This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement `resolution No.2164
<br />for the pavement of O'Brien Street from the south line of Prast Street to the south
<br />curb line of "erwinski 6ourt. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared but no
<br />written remonstrance was filed. Upon the reg7aest of propert:;r owners, the Board decides
<br />to continue hearing on said improvement resolution until January 9th., I929, at 7-I5 P.R,.
<br />City Exigineer, H. G. `7ray, filed tabulations of 'bids for the construction
<br />of the sewer o4--Bendix Drive from Washingi.on Street to Ist. , alley north of Division
<br />• Street and on J@fferson Street from Bendix Drive to Liberty Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2154. Tabulations of bids are as follows:

<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, s oecifications and estimates and
<br />the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following rovement

<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I73 for the widening and pavement of Portage
<br />Avenue from the southerly line of Lot II3 Portage Park Addition projected to. Teller
<br />Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above nan-ed improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders that
<br />on the 2nd., day of January I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City H-al.l
<br />at 7-I5 P. -TT., .to hear and receive remonstrances from all nersens whose property is
<br />liable to be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the benefits to
<br />the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for such improvement will
<br />be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board
<br />fdtrther orders that notices of such hearing shall be published on the I4th., da y
<br />of December and on the 2Ist. day of December 1928 in the South Bend News `dimes and
<br />• Tribune according to law.
<br />Upon the recommendation of City 4igineer, H. G. Wray, the Board approved
