290 Tuesday, December filth., 1928. Board met in regular .session at 9 A. Y. 6hn J. Olejniczak absent. �i Tflinutes of meetings held December 4th. , and December 5th. , 1928, read and approved. The Board, signed the contract with Albert Construction Company for the pavement on Sample street from west line of Olive Street to west property line of N. J. .I. & I. R. R. under Improvement Resolution N0.2I44, in the amount of 7,237.50. The Board also approved the construction bond for, same in the amount of 50� of the contract iE price signed by Inland Bonding Company. The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Gedney Sons for the Humboldt Street sub -trunk Sewer from Duey Street to Nancy Street under Improvement Resolution No.2097 in the amount of 4,580.37 signed by national Surety Company. The Board apnroved the renewal certificate for the excavation bond of I' Arthur V. P;Fe er in the amount of `�I 000.00 si eel b the Massachusetts Bondin and y ? � <Y g 'Insurance Company. The Board approved the drive way at 402 North Yichigan Street as recommend- ed by H. G. Wray, lity engineer. Upon the recommendation of i1m. F. Qualls, the Board a -proved the petition of the Indians. Bell Telephone �ompc.ny to place underground conduit _and reivuild man holes' in the alley north of Y-adison �'treet, from the alley east of'Main 6treet to the alley west of Main Street; also in the alley west of Michigan atreet, south of Bartlett Street; in Bartlett Street west of Michigan Street and in north Yiehigan Street between Bartlett Street and the St. Joseph River Bridge, all as outlined in.their petition of November 6th., 19219. This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the construct ion of a local sewer in Bendix Drive under Improvement Resolution No.Z154. Bids are as follows: Edw. Di Julio J. F. In the above named ass-essment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 2nd., day of January I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. Y. to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide ven6ther the several lots and parcels of land -primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less sum than that shovrn on said assessment roll. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 2Ist. , day of December and on the 28th. , day of December I928 according to law. City 'Engineer, H. r. Uray, filed primary assessment roll for the _.construction: of the local sewer in Merry Avenue from Grant 6treet to 11-reade Street under Improvement Resolution No.2823. In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the 2nd. , day of January 1929, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at 7-i5 P. T-%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less sum than that shown on said assessment roll. The Board further orders that not ices of said hearings shall be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 21st. , .day of December and on the 28th. , day of December 1928 according to law.
