Olejniczak absent. <br />�i <br />Tflinutes of meetings held December 4th. , and December 5th. , 1928, read and <br />approved. <br />The Board, signed the contract with Albert Construction Company for the <br />pavement on Sample street from west line of Olive Street to west property line of N. J. <br />.I. & I. R. R. under Improvement Resolution N0.2I44, in the amount of 7,237.50. The <br />Board also approved the construction bond for, same in the amount of 50� of the contract <br />iE price signed by Inland Bonding Company. <br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Gedney Sons for the Humboldt <br />Street sub -trunk Sewer from Duey Street to Nancy Street under Improvement Resolution <br />No.2097 in the amount of 4,580.37 signed by national Surety Company. <br />The Board apnroved the renewal certificate for the excavation bond of <br />I' Arthur V. P;Fe er in the amount of `�I 000.00 si eel b the Massachusetts Bondin and <br />y ? � <Y g <br />'Insurance Company. <br />The Board approved the drive way at 402 North Yichigan Street as recommend- <br />ed by H. G. Wray, lity engineer. <br />Upon the recommendation of i1m. F. Qualls, the Board a -proved the petition <br />of the Indians. Bell Telephone �ompc.ny to place underground conduit _and reivuild man holes' <br />in the alley north of Y-adison �'treet, from the alley east of'Main 6treet to the alley <br />west of Main Street; also in the alley west of Michigan atreet, south of Bartlett Street; <br />in Bartlett Street west of Michigan Street and in north Yiehigan Street between Bartlett <br />Street and the St. Joseph River Bridge, all as outlined in.their petition of November <br />6th., 19219. <br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the construct <br />ion of a local sewer in Bendix Drive under Improvement Resolution No.Z154. Y. to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been <br />assessed for said improvement and will decide ven6ther the several lots and parcels of <br />land -primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the <br />amounts named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less sum than that shovrn on <br />said assessment roll. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall <br />be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 2Ist. , day of December <br />and on the 28th. , day of December I928 according to law. <br />City 'Engineer, H. r. Uray, filed primary assessment roll for the _.construction: <br />of the local sewer in Merry Avenue from Grant 6treet to 11-reade Street under Improvement <br />Resolution No.2823. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the <br />2nd. , day of January 1929, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall at <br />7-i5 P. T-%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has been <br />assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels of <br />land primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will be benefited in the <br />amounts named on said assessment roll or in a greater or less sum than that shown on <br />said assessment roll.
