25 <br />Tuesday, October 30th. , 1928. <br />0 <br />• <br />0 <br />• <br />0 <br />Board met in regular session at 9 A. TVs. John J. Ole jniczak absent, <br />Minutes of meetings held October 23rd. , and October 24th., 1928, read and <br />approved. <br />The Board signed the contract with 'Edward DiJ'ulio for the. construction. of <br />the sev,;,?r in Fremont Street between Lincoln Way hest and Humboldt Street under . <br />improvement Resolution No.2139 in the amount of I,161.60. The Board also approved <br />the construction bond of same in the amount of 100� of the contract price signed by <br />NLaryland Casualty Company.` <br />The Board signed the contract with Edward Di Julio for the construction of the <br />sewer in Elmer Street from a point 275 feet soudh of the center line of 'Vassar Avenue <br />to point 205.5 feet south of the center line of Elwood. Avenue under Improvement <br />Resolution No.2I37 in the amount of 3,372.90. The Board also approved the construct- <br />ion bond of same in the amount of I00% of the contract price signed by the Maryland <br />Casualty Company. <br />The Board, upon the recommendation of Wm. F. 0sialls, approved the following <br />lig'_ot installations: <br />- I-I000 lumen light at the southwest corner of Arnold and Huron ''treet to <br />lip-ht steps at railroad elevation. <br />I-I000 lumen light at northwest corner of Walnut and '�Iivision Streets to light <br />steo in sidewalk at railroad elevation. <br />The Board appr ove'd the petition of the Indiana Bell Telephone ompany to cut <br />pavement in the alley east of vVilliam Street, south of Washington for certain under- <br />ground conduit construction. <br />The Board approved the petition of the Indiana Bell Telephone company to place <br />underground conduit in Sample Street, east of Franklin Street, for the Engineers <br />Building of the "tudebaker Corporation. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the walk <br />and curb improvement on the northerly side of Mishawaka Avenye from west line of Lot <br />500 'Ihiteomb and Kellers 3rd. , Sunnymede Addition to Longfellow Avenue under Improve <br />ment resolution No.2053. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrance was filed amd the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that <br />the several lots and a -parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on <br />said assessment roll. he Board, therefore , decides to take final action on same <br />and declares said assessment roll, filed on .October 23rd., I928, in all things <br />ratified, confirmed and approved and the Th <br />Troceedings closed. e Board now orders <br />said assessment roll delivered to the -Department of Finance. <br />City Ihgineer, H. G. Wray, filed assessment roll for the pavement of Angella <br />Avenue from the east line of Harter Heights Addition to Notre Dame Avenue under <br />Improvement resolution No.2I26. <br />In the aove named assessment roll, property owners having waived all right <br />of objection on or in defense to said proceedings, and the Board being fully advised <br />in the premises, finds the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in <br />the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, takes final action <br />on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and <br />approved and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment roll <br />delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the grade, <br />curb and walk improvement on the south side of Division Itreet from Kentucky street <br />to a point I38.I feet East; on Ford Street from Kentucky Street to Iowa Street under <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2I48. Bids are as fol lows : <br />Alex Bukowski Es ton Ball E. T. Tran b erg <br />concrete walk .I4 .I5 .I6. <br />concrete curb .40 .40 .42 <br />grad ing .35 .50 .65 <br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the pavement <br />on Greenlawn Avenue from McKinley Avenue to 4ashington Avenue under Improvement <br />resolution No.2141.
