238 <br />4ednesday.., . October 3rd. , .2928. <br />k <br />absent. <br />rolls: <br />Board met in regular session at 7-15 P. Y. John J. Ole jniczalc <br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the following primary assessment <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of the firs alley east of 23rd. <br />Street from Mishawaka -Avenue to `Fall Street under Improvement `esolution No:.2098. <br />Assessment roll for the resurfacing of North Shore *rive from`, `a <br />point 150 feet west of the west line of Lafayette Street to the west line of Irquois <br />Street under Improvement Resolution No.2076. <br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders; <br />that on the 9th., day of October 1928, ,this Board will meet in their office in the <br />City Hall at I0:00 A. Y. , to hear and .receive remoras trances from all persons whose <br />property has been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several <br />lots and parcels of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been or will <br />be benefited in the amounts named on said rolls, or in a greater or less sum than <br />that named on said rolls. The Board further orders that notices of. said hearings <br />shall be published on the 5th. , da�yy of October and on the 6th. , day of October 1928 <br />in the South Bend News Times and ``wribune according to law. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assess- <br />men t rolls: <br />Assessment roll for the pavement on Chapin Street from Calvert Street <br />to Ewing Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2079. <br />Ass ssment roll for the .pavement on Kendall Street from alley north <br />of Orchard Street to '�unham Street timder Improvement Resolution No.2042. <br />Assessment roll f r the pavement of the south one half of �destmoor <br />street- from the west line of Olive 11treet to the Fast line of Lincoln Manor Third <br />Addition under Improvement Resolution No.2094. <br />In all of the above named assessment rolls, fib :r6mons.trators appear <br />ed and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the <br />premises, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the <br />amounts named on said assessment rolls. The Board, therefore takes final action on <br />said assessment rolls, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and appr owed <br />without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment. <br />rolls delivered to the department of Finance. <br />0ity Nagineer' , submitted Partial estimate No.I for the light traffic' <br />sheet asphalt pavement improvement on Napier Street from Vialnut Street to the east <br />curb line of Cherry Street, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the <br />City and the Rieth Riley Construction Company, Contractors, under Improvement <br />Resolution N0.2044. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 3,I48.74. <br />City Engineer submitted Partial estimate No.I for the heavy traffici. <br />sheet asphalt pavement improvement on Victoria Street from the east curb line of Yi ami <br />Street to the east line of Viami Heights Addition, in accordance with the terms of <br />the contract between the City and the Rieth Riley construction Company under Improve <br />ment Resolution No. 2088. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of <br />9, I48.34. <br />The Board approved the driveway at IZI East Madison Street. <br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for <br />the grade, curb and walk on the South Side of florin Street from a point 131.37 ft., <br />west of the east line of Madison Park Addition t n the east line of Madison Park <br />Addition under Improvement Resolution No.2I36. Bids are as follows: <br />H. N. Barnes Frame and Zimmer <br />walk . I8 .20 <br />curb .50 .50 <br />grading .90 1.00 <br />City. Engineer, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the <br />Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement <br />resolution: <br />Improvement Resolution No.2I47 for the pavement of the alley <br />between Lot I in Millers Addition and Lot 8 in Flaerbringer's Furst Addition from <br />Oak Street to the first alle�T south of Oak Street. <br />In the above named improvement resolution No.2147, property owners <br />waived all right of objections on and in defense to any defect in said proceedings, <br />and to any violation in procedure for the construction of street improvements as <br />fined by law.
