<br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby
<br />orders that on the 26th., day of September 1928., this Board will meet in their offic
<br />in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances -from all persons
<br />whose property has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the
<br />several lots and parcels of land have been or . will be benefited in the amounts shown
<br />on said pril.mary rolls._ The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall
<br />be published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 2lst., day of September
<br />and on the 22nd. , day of September 1928, according to law.
<br />The Board signed the contract with Harry N. Barnes for the con-
<br />st-nuction of grade, curb and walk on Lake :Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Mashington
<br />Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2III in the amount of 1.156.2.09 The Board also
<br />approved the construction bond of same in the amount of T00% of the contract price
<br />signed by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co.

<br />Partial estimate No.I for the heavy traffic sheet asphalt pavement i
<br />on Altgeld Street from the west line of Marine Street to the east line of Miami
<br />Heights Addition in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and
<br />the Rieth Riley 6onstruction Company, contractors, under Improvement Resolution
<br />Now--2087. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of 9,680.52.
<br />Partial estimate No.I for the heavy traffic sheet asphalt pavement
<br />on Madison, Street from. Palmer Blvd. , to Harriett Street, in accordance with the
<br />terms of the contract between the City and Rieth Riley construction .Company, contractors,
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.2083. The Board signed and approved same in the
<br />amount of 6, 973.23.
<br />Partial estimate No.2 for the heavy traffic sheet asphalt pavement
<br />Improvement on Miami Street between Lincoln Way East and Ewing Avenue, also widening
<br />and resurfacing, in accordance with the terms of the contract between the City and _
<br />the Rieth Riley Construction company, contractors. The Board signed and approved
<br />same in the amount of 220411.17.
<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans and the Board adopted said
<br />plans together with a resolution for the vacation of the alley north of Washington
<br />Avenue from3unnyside Avenue to Esther Street under vacation Resolution No.2I38.
<br />In the above named vacation resolution, the Board hereby orders
<br />that on the 9th. , day of October 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the
<br />City Hall at I0 : 00 A. Y. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
<br />property is liable to be affected by said vacation. The Board farther orders that
<br />notices of said hearing shall be published on the 2lst. , day of September and on the
<br />28th. , day of September 1928, according to law.

<br />and the Board adopted said plans and spedif ications together with the following
<br />improvement resolution:

<br />Fremont Street between Lincoln Way West and Humboldt Street. (See files for copy of

<br />.In the above named improvement resolution No.2I39, the Board hereby
<br />orders that on the 9th., day of October 1928, this Board will meet in their office
<br />in the City Hall at I0:00 A. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons
<br />whos epr operty is 1 iab le to be affected by said improvement and will decide whether
<br />the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will
<br />be benefited in proportion to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City
<br />Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be published
<br />on the 21st. , day of September and on the 28th. , day of September 1928, in the
<br />South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.

<br />to the south line of N. T. C. R. R., under Vacation Resolution No.2085.

<br />of the alley south of Bronson Street from Michigan Street to the Ist. , alley east of
<br />Mi chi gars Street under Condemnation Resolution No. 2086.
