_ Thursday.,. lugust 16th. , 1928. .. <br />• <br />0 <br />• <br />At west <br />.bound <br />Board metin special session at 9 A. tT. Ali Members present. Mr. I.. S. <br />Romig, City Attorney, and Mr. Charles W. Cole and William S. Moore, Engineers, also <br />present. <br />This" being the date set for hearing on the modified assessment roll of <br />the Northwest trunk Sewer , System -under Improvement Resolution,: Nukbers I774, I774A <br />and I774B and all remonstrances -filed against the same, the Board met in the Council <br />Chamber of the City Mail of South Bend, Indiana, and opened hearing on said Roll and <br />the,remonstrandes. The Engineer reported that be had not been able to make the <br />corrections, deductions and compution and complete- the modified Roll as ordered by the <br />Board at its meeting of August 9th. , I928. The Board then adjourned the .hearing to <br />Thursday, August 23rd. , at 9 A. T., 1928, at the Council Chaipber in the City Halal. <br />ATTESTED: <br />C <br />TUESDAY AUGUST 2lst.. , 1928. <br />Board met in regular s ess ioh at 9 A. M. All members present. <br />Minutes of meetings held August I4th. , August I5th. , and August I6th. , 1928 <br />read and approved. <br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the <br />Board adopted- said plans and specifications together with the following Improvement <br />Resolution: <br />STREET Cat ALLEY IXPROVM►MNT RESOLUTION NO.2I3I. <br />"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, ST. JOSE'PH COUNTY, that it is desired and deemed necessary to improve: <br />Cherry Street from the end of the present concrete pavementto the New York <br />Central Railroad, <br />Walnut Street from north north rail of the north track of the New York <br />Central Railroad to a point one hundred ninety five feet (1951) north of the center <br />line of west bound main track of the New York Central Railroad. <br />Walnut Street from south line of Division Street to north line of alley <br />south of Division Street, <br />Division Street from a point two hundred seventy-eight feet (2781) west <br />of the center line of west bound main track of New York Central Railroad to a point <br />two hundred ninety-eight feet (298') east of the center line of west bound main track <br />of Ne)N Yorlc Central Railroad. <br />Walnut Street from a point about one hundred seventy-four feet (I74?). north,; <br />of- the ,_center line of-n"t-h Twit oil- --trTck'of,'the 'New -Yor'k-Pentral-Ull-'Oa' to a pefii <br />about trwo hundred twenty. _sfx- f eat. The paving material to be used'in making said !j <br />• improvement shall be Bituminous Aadadam, Sheet asphalt on gravel foundation of Sheet <br />II as -,halt on stone foundation.
