<br />This being the date . set, hearings were had on the following
<br />improvement resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2035 for the pavement of O'Brien Street'
<br />from Lincoln Way Vest to ,north property line of Elwood Avenue.
<br />;Improvement Resolution No.2065 or the pavement of the first
<br />alley west of Miami street from Broadway to Indiana Avenue.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.208I for the
<br />ment in Lincoln Manor Third Addition, pavement and sewer improve
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2078 for the -avement and sewer improve'
<br />ment in Summit Place if th Addition.
<br />In -all of the above named improvement resolutions, noremonstrators
<br />appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in
<br />the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land 111ble
<br />to be assessed for said itprovements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as
<br />reported by the City 1&rigineer. The Board, therefore, takes final action on said
<br />improvement resolutions, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
<br />without modification.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board
<br />hereby orders that on the I9th., day of June, 1928, this Board will receive, open and
<br />consider sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements. The Board
<br />further. orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the South Bend
<br />News Times and Iribune on the 8th. , day of June and on the I5th. , day of June, I928�
<br />according to 1 auv.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.2063 for the pavement of the west one half of Iioga,n Street from kishawa-I'm Avenue
<br />to the north end of the St. Joseph River Bridge.
<br />In the above na-~ed improvement resolution, no remonstrators
<br />appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the. Board, bb ing fully advised in
<br />the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels _of land liable
<br />to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same
<br />as reported by the City 1mgine er. The Board, therefore, takes final action on sadd
<br />improvement resolution No.2063, and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed
<br />and approved without modification.
<br />The Board, now orders that on the 25th., day of June, 1928,.
<br />this Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the construction of said
<br />improvement on the hest one half of Logan' Street under improvement resolution NO.2063
<br />up to I0:00 A. Y. The Board further orders that notices of said -.roposals. shall be
<br />published on the • 9th.1 day of June and on the I6th. , day of Jime, I928, in. the South
<br />Bend Nevis Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />The Board signed the contract with Reith niley 6'onstructi.on Co. ,
<br />for the pavement on Calvert Street from Direst line of Sar::rson _Street to Ernsperger St.,
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.2009. Theamount of the contract being 15,094.20 for
<br />sheet asrhalt pavement. The Board also arproved the construction bond -fox same for
<br />50% of the contract price signed b!r the Southern Lturety Co.
<br />The Board signed the contract with Reith Riley Construction. -Co .
<br />for the ravement on Calvert Street from Kline street to Ernsperger Street under Improve
<br />ment Resolution No.20I0, the amount _ of the cone pact being 16,588.62. The Board also.
<br />approved the construction bond for same for 50= of the contract price signed. by the
<br />Southern Surety Co.
<br />The Board atgned the contract with - filliston Construction �,o.l
<br />fmr the pavement improvement on the west one half of Johnson Street from north line
<br />of Msarquette Park Ist. , Addition to south line of Hamilton Otreet under Improvement
<br />Resolution No. 2067, the amount of the contract being I320.30. The Board also approved
<br />the construction bond of same for 50% of the contract r,rice signed by Inland Bonding
<br />Co.
