<br />Minutes of Meeting held YYRrch 6th. , 1928, ,;:read and approved.
<br />The Board approved the following driveways:
<br />Driveway at corner of Xenmore Street and Division Street.
<br />Driveway at corner of Lincoln Way West and Johnson Street.
<br />Driveway at corner of Miami and Ewing Avenue.
<br />The Board ..pproved thie renewal certificate of Ernest C. Company,
<br />for .exca-��.,
<br />�ttn. in the amount of .,?I,000.00 signed by the Fidelity and. �'eposit company.
<br />The Board signed the contract with 1. `. staples for the construction of
<br />a sewer in" Lincoln lv�anor and Kaley's Lincoln Highway Addition in the amount of
<br />?299235%90. The Board also a .proved the .construction bond for same for IW of the
<br />contract price signed by the Commercial 0asual ty Insurance Co. (This covers Improvement
<br />Resolution Ive.I982
<br />The Board signed the contract with the 13arth_ern.":Indi&i _,,EOnstrnetion for
<br />the construction of sewer in Kenmore Street from Ford Street to Sample Street and on
<br />Sample Street from Zenmore "treet to a point I000 feet West under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.i996. The Board also approved the construction bond foI same for 100% of the contract
<br />price, 13,203.50, signed by Employers Liability &ssurance Uo.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the "lbert Construction Co., for the
<br />sewer and pavement. improvement on Adams, "ollege and Brookfield Streets from Elwood Ave..'
<br />to Humbolt street under Improvement Resolution N(),I976. The .board also approved the
<br />construction bor}d of sa,.e for 50% of the contract price, (046,232.54), signed by the
<br />Inland Bonding Uo.
<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and
<br />the Board adopted a resolution for the construction of' a local sewer on tilson Street
<br />from'Greenlawn nveneu to Nineteenth Street and on Nineteenth atreet from Wilson Avenue
<br />to Itlashington Avenue under Improvement Resolution 11o.200I.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, property owners waived all
<br />objections on and in defense to any defect in proceedings and to any violation In pro-
<br />cedure for the construction of street improvements as fixed by law. Whereupon, the
<br />Board, rpe.eited, opened and read the following bid for the construction of said local
<br />dearer: Bid as follows:

<br />The above bid handed. to City 4xigineer for tabulation.
<br />Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. walls, the Hoard approved the install-
<br />ation of a 4000 lumen light at the corner of Oakland and Hildreth Streets at a cost of
<br />45.00 per year. Same ordered.
<br />1r. Vim. F. Qualls gave the following report, ,hich was approved by the
<br />Board
<br />,regarding the petition for a light at the corner of i"ishaiira..m Lvenue and Aildreth:
<br />"There is at present a 600 lumen light on Mishawaka nvenye in front of the
<br />.,hatch factory, just a short distance east of Esther Street and a 40001urzen light at the
<br />intersection of Esther and Ruskin., one bloc'-, south o I:`ishawa_m Avenue. Besides Est'aer
<br />does not cross Mishawa :a Avenue.
<br />For these reasons i do not belie7e it is essential that a lamp be installed
<br />at Es Cher and Mishawaka Avenue and do not recommend the granting of said petition.

<br />Upon the complaint of the East side Business Men's &ssociation and residents.
<br />in. the vicinity of the property owned by the Indiana and rylichigan Electric Company, the
<br />Board instructed the Clerk to notify the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co., to clear the
<br />sidewalk area on Bridge street, LaSalle Avenue and Colfax Avenue and to repair the walks
<br />where necessary, so as to make same safe for pedistrians along these streets.
<br />This being the date set, bids were received, opened and read for the
<br />construction of pavement on Peashway street from beeper avenue to the 6outhern "Lichigan
<br />Ry. night of way under Improvement peso luti on Fo. I980. Bids as follows:
