PRELIMINARY ORDER <br />Whereas, the Board of Public Works and Safety pursuant to its notice to do so, met on the 3rd day of <br />September, 1957, at the hour of 10:00 A.M. (DST) and publicly opened and considered all bids for the <br />improvement of Vassar Avenue from Brookfield Street to College Street by constructing a Class "C" Per- <br />manent type pavement in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2854, 1957, passed by this Board on <br />July 15, 1957, and confirmed by this Board on August 19, 1957, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED; that the roadway of said street be improved by paving with Class "C" type 3 Bitumonous <br />Concrete (7"). <br />R. Smith <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2856. 1957 <br />.REFERRING BIDS TO ENGINEER <br />The bids for the improvement of Oliver, Arnold & Webster Street - Donald Street from approximately <br />200 feet north of Ewing Street to Donald Street and Donald Street from Webster Street to Douglas Street <br />by constructing a local and trunk sewer received on September 3, 1957, in accordance with Improvement <br />Resolution No. 2856, 1957, passed by this Board on July 15, 1957, and confirmed by this Board on Aug- <br />ust 19, 1957, are hereby referred to you for examination and tabulation and to report to this Board <br />with recommendations. <br />R. S. Andrysiak <br />Frank J. Bruggner <br />Irving J. Smith <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />In the matter of the bids for the improvement of Oliver, Arnold & Webster Streets- Donald Street from <br />approximately 200 feet north of Ewing Street to Donald Street and Donald Street from Webster Street to <br />Douglas Street by constructing a local and trunk sewer in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. <br />2856, 1957 passed by the Board of PublicWorks and Safety on July 15, 19572 and confirmed by said Board <br />on August 19, 1957, we hereby report that we have tabulated and examined the several bids submitted to <br />the Board on September 3, 1957 and find that the Cecil E. Dale d/b/a Osceola Crane Service has the low- <br />est and best bid. <br />We recommend that the bid of the Cecil E. Dale d/b/a Osceola Crane Service be accepted. <br />Clyde E. Smith <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />In the matter of the bids for the improvement of Duey Street from 217 feet north of Howard Street south <br />to Howard Street by constructing a local sewer in accordance with Improvement Resolition No. 2857, 1957 <br />passed by the Board of Public Works and Safety on July 15, 1957 and confirmed by said Board on August <br />199 1957 we hereby report that we have tabulated and examined the several bids submitted to the Board <br />on September 3, 1957 and find that the Cecil E. Dale d/b/a Osceola Crane Service has the lowest and <br />best bid. <br />We recommend that the bid of the Cecil E. Dale d/b/a Osceola Crane Service be accepted. <br />Clyde E.
