<br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the Pro-
<br />files, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications, and Estimates approved by this Board on the 15th
<br />day of July, 1957, be for the improvement of Vassar Avenue from Brookfield Street to College Street by con-
<br />structing a permanent type Class "C" Pavement be and the same are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file
<br />in the office of the Department of Public Works and Safety.
<br />Sept. 31 1957 at the hour of 10:00 A.M. (DST) is hereby fixed as the time and the office of the Board of
<br />Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this City, as the place, when and where the Board of Public
<br />Works and Safety will open and consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the
<br />construction of said work shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board before 10:00 A.M. (DST).
<br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a certified check, payable to the Treasurer of this
<br />City in the sum of 2-2 percent of the amount of his bid, or a bid bond for 22 percent of the amount of this
<br />bid$ to insure the execution of this contract) if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby, ordered to give notice by 2 weekly publications of the time and place, when
<br />and where bids will be received, opened and considered for the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall:]
<br />state in said notices that each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above
<br />named amount, to insure the execution of this contract.

<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION CONFIRMED
<br />For the improvement of Falcon Street under Improvement Resolution No. 2855, 1957 adopted July 15, 1957 from
<br />218 feet north of Jefferson Blvd. to 202 feet north of Western Avenue by constructing a local sewer. After
<br />hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised on the premises and the Clerk of the
<br />Board having shown proofs of publication of the notices to property owners and the same having been found
<br />sufficient, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvement
<br />are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Improve-
<br />ment Resolution No. 2855, 1957, duly passed by this Board on July 15, 1957 for the above improvement, be
<br />and the same is hereby in all things confirmed for the construction of a local sewer from 218 feet north
<br />of Jefferson Blvd. to 202 feet north of western Avenue and the improvement is hereby ordered to be made.
