Excavation bonds were approved for North Liberty Drainage Service, Inc, Stanley E. Wesolowski, Parkway Pavers, and James A. Currie. Maintenance bond is hereby approved for Axel E. Anderson. Stop Sign is installed on Carroll Street, both sides, at Fox Street, upon recommendation by Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer. Contract Supplement No. 4 of the 1956 General Street Improvement Program, Sample Street Conttract No. 3 for the construction of a Portland Cement Concrete Special Combination Curb and Gutter is hereby approved and signed by the Board this 15th day of July, 1957. Partial payment estimates from Chas. W. Cole & Son of Indiana Avenue Contract No. 1 and 29 and Sample Street Contract N. 3 and 4 are hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of July, 1957. Contract Docuwents and Specifications for Williams Street Pavement as submitted by Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc. are hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of Jply91957. Contract Doaments and Specifications for Jefferson Blvd. pavement improvements as submitted by Clyde E. Williams and Associates are hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of July, 1957. The plans for the Columbus Comet Sidewalk and Guard Rail improvement on behalf of the South Bend Parking Lot Company is hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of July, 1957. A report is hereby submittd to the Board from Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, regarding the request of the deledgation representing the USN, USAF, USMC, AND USA, requesting approval from the Board to resery four packing spaces on street, near the Post Office for their official vehicles used in recruiting whereby it is the recommendation of Mr. Miller that the request of the petitioners be denied based on the fact that parking space on the City streets, intended for public use, should not be assigned or reserved for certain individuals or organizations. Board now approves the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer. A letter is received from John Wilfred Niemiec, Lawyer requesting additional time to enable the Western State Bank to dispose of the matter with reference to the condemnation order connected with the realty commonly known as 2107 West Rogers Street in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said Niemiec informs the Board that the sale of said property should be completed by August 2, 1957 and the removal work commenced on the following week. The Building Commissioner is hereby directed to notify said Niemiec that additions time will be granted subject to submitting to Lane proof of said sale notice and also proof that the reali will be cleared not later than August 99 1957. A petition is hereby received from several property owners of East Jefferson Boulevard asking for the im- provement of the North and South side of Jefferson Boulevard from 29th Street to Logan Street by the con- struction of a sidewalk according to law. Petition hereby referred to the City Engineering Depa r tment for investigation and recommendation.
