Williams <br />and Associates, Inc. are hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of Jply91957. <br />Contract Doaments and Specifications for Jefferson Blvd. pavement improvements as submitted by Clyde E. <br />Williams and Associates are hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of July, 1957. <br />The plans for the Columbus Comet Sidewalk and Guard Rail improvement on behalf of the South Bend Parking <br />Lot Company is hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of July, 1957. <br />A report is hereby submittd to the Board from Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, regarding the request <br />of the deledgation representing the USN, USAF, USMC, AND USA, requesting approval from the Board to resery <br />four packing spaces on street, near the Post Office for their official vehicles used in recruiting whereby <br />it is the recommendation of Mr. Miller that the request of the petitioners be denied based on the fact <br />that parking space on the City streets, intended for public use, should not be assigned or reserved for <br />certain individuals or organizations. Board now approves the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer. <br />A letter is received from John Wilfred Niemiec, Lawyer requesting additional time to enable the Western <br />State Bank to dispose of the matter with reference to the condemnation order connected with the realty <br />commonly known as 2107 West Rogers Street in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Said Niemiec informs the <br />Board that the sale of said property should be completed by August 2, 1957 and the removal work commenced <br />on the following week. The Building Commissioner is hereby directed to notify said Niemiec that additions <br />time will be granted subject to submitting to Lane proof of said sale notice and also proof that the reali <br />will be cleared not later than August 99 1957. <br />A petition is hereby received from several property owners of East Jefferson Boulevard asking for the im- <br />provement of the North and South side of Jefferson Boulevard from 29th Street to Logan Street by the con- <br />struction of a sidewalk according to law. Petition hereby referred to the City Engineering Depa r tment <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />The following Release of Larry Speakd and Matthew Toppel is hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of <br />July, 1957: <br />RELEASE <br />The Municipal City of South Bend, through its Board of Public Works and Safety, hereby indemnifies Larry <br />Speaks and Matthew Toppel, the owners of the following described real estate located in St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana: <br />Beginning at a point in the center line of Douglas Road 1320 <br />feet west of the center'.line of Maple Road, thence south 495 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />�J <br />
