An alley 14 feet in width North and South running east and west between Bryan Street and Beale Street from the east line of Cushing Street easterly a distance of 748 feet to the intersection of the west line of a public alley running in a northerly and southerly direction between Beale Street and Bryan Street, which said last mentioned alley is bounded on the west by the east line of Lots 250 and 261, Northwest Third Addition. 6. An alley 14 feet in width running in an easterly and westerly direction from the the east line of Cushing Street easterly a distance of 1002 feet, which said alley • is the first alley north of Bryan Street and is bounded on the south by the north line of Lots 2649 265, 266, and 267, Northwest Third Addition. • • • C7 The above mentioned petitions are hereby referred to the City Planning Commission, for recommendation and investigation. The following Traffic signs were installed upon recommendation by the Traffic Engineer, Ernest H. YIELD RIGHT OF WAY signs installed on Lawrence Street, both sides at Peashway Street STOP SIGNS installed on Howard Street, both sides, at St. Louis Blvd. making this intersection a 4-Way Stop. Mrs. Arthur Peller and Mrs. James Phellenpaph appeared before the Board requesting permission to sellAmer- ican flags on the downtown street on behalf of the St.JOsephJValley Marine Corp. League on June 29, 1957. Permission granted. A letter is hereby directed to the South Shore Company regarding relocation of the traffic signals at the intersection of Orange and Olive Streets. AtAthe regular meeting of the Council on June 10, 1957 Councilman Glass requested that an investigation be made of wreckers and other vehicles which are using moving dome flashers on our streets. Mr. Glass stated that these flashers should be used only by emergency vehicles. Matter referred to Inspector Hazinski for further investigation. Councilman Kroll made a motion, seconded by Councilman Muszynski, that the Board of Public Works and Safety; direct enforcement of the existing Ordinance regarding truck traffic on Olive Street. Matter taken under advisement. An AGREEMENT made and entered into this 17th day of June, 19579 by and between the CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, acting by and through its Board of Public Works and Safety, and CLYDE E. WILLIAMS & ASSOCIATES, INC. of South Bend and Indianapolis, Indiana for the improvement of HYDRAULIC AVENUE FROM THE WEST LINE OF LOT 142 MILLER AND GREENE'S SECOND ADDITION, TO MADISON STREET AND MADISON STREET FROM HYDRAULIC AVENUE TO 340 FEET WEST OF NILES AVENUE is hereby approved by the Board. The Council referred to the Board the request of Mrs. Rudie White with reference to the installation of a sewer on Falcon Street between Western Avenue and Jefferson. Matter taken under advisement by the City Engineer. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2850, 1957 RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL After hearing all persons interested who appeared and the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety having proofs of publication of the notices to property owners and the same having been found sufficient, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the Pri or Preliminary Assessment Roll adopted by the Board on the 17th day of June, 1957 for the improvement of Campau Street - Local Sewer be and the same is in all things confirmed. Bruggner CERTIFICATE OF CONTRACT AND WORK COMPLETED The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana hereby certifies as follows: That there is a contract, dated March 25, 1957 by and between the City of South Bend, Indiana and Cecil E. Dale d/b/a Osceola Crane Service for the construction by said Osceola Crane Service of a local sewer on Campau Street from 185 feet West of acob Street East to Jacob Street. That said Cecil E. Dale d/b/a Osceola Crane Service has completed the construction of said improvement according to the terms of said contract and that the final amount of said contract is $1,276.50. That said Contractors will be entitled to receive the total amount of $1376.50 in cash, from the City of South Bend, Indiana, in the manner provided by law.
