<br />(CST). All members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Claims

<br />The Curb, Walk, and Pavement Plans for the Edison Park 2nd Addition and for Coquillard Park Addition are
<br />herey approved by the Board this 15th day of April, 1957.
<br />The Board now approves the contract for the construction of sewers in Edison Road, south side, and also
<br />on Ironwood Drive.' Contracts on file in the office of the Board of Public Works & Safety.
<br />Also approved today were the Restrictive Convenants for Brentwood Estates Fourth Addition to the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, Count of St. Joseph. Placed on file in the office of the Board of Public Works &
<br />Salfety.
<br />Dedication of Plat of Brentwood Estates Fourth Addition being a Replat of Part of Alword's Addition to
<br />the City of South Bend Count of St. Joseph, $tate of Indiana, and placed on file in the office of the
<br />Contractor's bond are hereby approved for J. C. Gillstrap Construction Company, John Rose, and Thomas L.
<br />Hickey, Inc.
<br />Upon recommendation of the Building Commissioner the appointment of one John Graybarz as Building Inspect
<br />is hereby approved by the Board as of the 16th day of April, 1957.
<br />Verner L. Lane, Building Commissioner, requests permission for himself and his Plumbing Inspector to atte
<br />school at Purdue University on the 25th and 26th days of April, 1957.
<br />Dany Richardson, Street Commissioner, hereby submits to the'Board a weekly report of the Street Depa
<br />repairs of streets. Accepted and placed. on file in the office of the Board of Public Works.
<br />The Street Department and The Police Department have been requested to co-ordinate within the two depart-

<br />ments to work out a Street Cleaning Program for this year and a final report is to be submitted to the Board
<br />as to the solution that the 2 departments will use. I
<br />Permission is now granted to Danny Richardson and Bill Sweeney to attend Indiana Road School at Purdue
<br />versity on 22, 23, 24, and 25th day of April, 1957.
<br />The Plat of Greene's First Addition to the City of South Bend in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana is
<br />hereby approved by the Board this 15th day of April, 1957.
<br />A petition was received asking for the improvement of Duey (North) street from Howard Street to South Ben
<br />Avenue by the construction of a local sewer according the Barret Law program. Petition hereby referred t
<br />the City Engineering Department for further investigation and recommendation.
<br />An agreement by and between Indiana & Michigan Electric Company and the Board of Public Works and Safety
<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana for the construction of street lighting on West Indiana Avenue from
<br />Franklin Street to Prairie Avenue is now approved and signed by the Board, dated this 15th dayof April, 19':,57.
<br />City Hall will be closed all day on Friday, April 19, 1957 and offices will reopen on Saturday, April 20,j
<br />1957 until 12 o'clock noon. Other departments will be open until noon on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, {
<br />April 20, 1957.
<br />Traffic signs were installed at the following location:
<br />"No Parking This Side" sign installed on east side of Clyde Street,
<br />from Dubail Street to first alley north.
