Petition hereby referred to the City Engineering Department for investigati( <br />.and report. <br />The Board hereby approves and signs the contract for Engineering Services between the CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA and CONSOER TOWNSEND AND ASSOCIATES, Consulting Engineers, 360 East Grand Avenue, Chigago 11, <br />Illinois this 29th day of October, 1956. <br />Mr. L. L. Doolittle appeared before the Board with reference to request permission to conduct a parade <br />,for the children in Southmoor Heights Addition on Wednesday, October 31, 1956 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. <br />!'Permission granted subject to working out a proposed route with the Police Department. <br />Permission is hereby granted to the Bob's Nash Motor Sales on Lafayette Street for the use of a large <br />'search light in frontof their building on said street on October 30 and 319 1956. <br />Contract No. 3, Sample Street, and Contracts No. 1, lA, 2, and 2A9 Indiana Avenue, are hereby signed <br />and approved by the Board this 29th day of October, 1956. <br />Permission is hereby granted to the Craven's Hardware for the construction of a canopy on their build- <br />ing subject to the requirements as set out in the Building Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Mrs. Wendell Lukacs appeared before the Board on behalf of the Hungarian Veteran's Organization and <br />also a part of the Polish American Central Civic Committee with reference to request permission to have <br />a parade which would begin at the Laurel Club, 1120 West Thomas Street. Permission granted subject to <br />submission to the Board a parade route worked out with the Police, Traffic, Street, and Fire Departments. <br />Request is hereby made by the Salvation Army for permission to place two (2) booths on the sidewalk o <br />, and'Kresge-'s.. These booths, equipped with a P.A. device, are t <br />Michigan Streetnamely infront of Wyman's <br />be set up for the period of the Ckrr-istmas trade activity. `Permission was granted. <br />
