.6" c~-,. ,-~ <br />~~ ~ ~,~` COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT 12-14-09 <br />Timothy Rouse, Chairperson, Community and Economic Development called the <br />meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. <br />Committee Members Present: Ann Puzzello; Karen White; Catherine Andres, Citizen <br />Member <br />Other Councilmember's Present: David Varner; Derek Dieter; Oliver Davis; Tom <br />LaFountain <br />Other's Present: Pam Meyer; Rita Kopala; Aladean DeRose; Martha Lewis; Bob <br />Matia; Gregg Zientara; Mayor Steve Luecke; Tom Price; Jeff Parrott <br />Agenda: Bill No. 91-09 -Appropriation -Emergency Shelter Grant <br />Bill No. 92-09 -Amend Ordinance -Adjustments to Community <br />Development Fund #212 <br />Bill No. 09-79 -Tax Abatement -Hoosier Tank (Personal Property) <br />Bill No. 91-09 Appropriation -Emergency Shelter Grant <br />Chairman Rouse opened the hearing by recognizing Pam Meyer, Director of Community <br />Development to present the bill. Pam said the bill asks for the appropriation of $123,135 <br />in Emergency Shelter Grant funds. This program was discussed with the Council at a <br />prior meeting on September 21St, when the 2010 CD Action Plan was presented. Four <br />separate agencies would benefit from the dollars. All appropriate public hearings <br />required for the use of these funds have been completed. Councilmember White asked a <br />question regarding specific dollars available then made a motion to send the bill to full <br />Council favorably. Catherine Andres offered a second and all affirmed. <br />
