This resolution approves a two-year interlocal agreement with <br /> St.Joseph County for the City of South Bend to provide ambulance service for those portions of St.Joseph <br /> County which do not otherwise have ambulance service available. Following the expiration of the initial <br /> two-year term, the agreement is set to automatically renew for successive one-year periods unless <br /> terminated by either party. <br /> The area to be served is referenced in the agreement and depicted in one of the accompanying <br /> exhibits,but is generally described as all unincorporated portions of St.Joseph County,except for the cities <br /> of South Bend and Mishawaka,property which is owned or operated by the University of Notre Dame,and <br /> any other municipal corporation or location within St.Joseph County in which ambulance service is already <br /> provided. <br /> I will be presenting this agreement to the Common Council, along with Assistant Chiefs Todd <br /> Skwarcan and Andy Myer.Your favorable consideration is requested.
