Andrysiak, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing the awards ofi <br />damages and assessment of benefits in the matter of the vacation of the alley Northwest <br />of Parkovash Avenue from Marquette Avenue to the Northeasterly line of the alley West of 'f <br />Marquette Avenue and from the Northeasterly line of the alley West of Marquette Avenue to! <br />the North Shore Drive, under Resolution No. 2830. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet_in th <br />City Hall at 10:QO A.M. (DST) or 9:00 A.M. (CST) on the16th day of April, 1956, for the <br />purpose of hearing and receiving remonstrances.from all persons interested in or affected; <br />by said vacation, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together with' <br />the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners <br />by publishing same on the 23rd day of March, 30th day of March, and on the 6th day of <br />April, 1956 in the South Bend Tribune and The Record. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation <br />Lots numbered:'.136-137 and 149-150, North Shore Terrace Addition. <br />Respectfully submitted this 19th day of March, 1956. <br />R. Andrysiak <br />City Civil Engineer <br />3 <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2823 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award <br />of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of the Chicago Street'; <br />(North) beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot No. 13 in the Chicago Plaza Addition, 1 <br />;thence North to the Northwest corner of Lot No. 9 thence West 60 feet to the Northeast cor- <br />ner of Lot No. 18, thence South to the Southeast corner of Lot No. 14, thence East 60 feet <br />.to place of beginning; all in the original Plat of Chicago Plaza Addition, under Vacation <br />!Resolution No. 2823. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon <br />jstrances i;iere filed. The Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices <br />;and same Were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots <br />'have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore,.; <br />!decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things rati <br />fied, confirmed, and approved without modification and the proceedings closed, and the <br />;Alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the various proper- <br />ty owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to said vacation are <br />'hereby sustained. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2824 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award <br />f damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of Twenty-sixth Stree <br />rom the IvTorth line of Jefferson Street North to the South line of Marshall Street, under <br />acation Resolution No. 2824. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- <br />strances were filed. The Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices <br />and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore finds that the several lots have <br />been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore decid <br />to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, co <br />firmed, and approved without modification and the proceedings closed, and the Alley vacat <br />upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from. the various property owners so ben <br />Cited and all proceedings had with reference to said i vacation are hereby sustained. <br />The Board now recessed until 11:30 A.M. (CST). <br />The time now being 11:30 A.M. (CST), it was so announced and the bids for the Traff <br />epartment were opened: Proof of publication in the South Bend Tribune signed Wj-th an of <br />idavit by C. G. Livengood and in the Record with an affidavit signed by W. DeCanio on th <br />th day of April and on the 16t.� day of April was submitted to the Board. The bids are a <br />ollows: <br />. 0.
