nwe A petition was received asking for the vacation of the alley between Lincolnway West and Bonds Avenue and lying between Meade Street and Olive Street and was referred to the .City Plan Commission for their investigation and recommendation. The following S-T-O-P -Signs were installed. - Indiana Avenue, northeast corner, at Olive Street. Broadway, both sides, at Franklin Street. Ii. Excavation bonds in the sum of $1000 were accepted and approved by the Board for th following: Edward J. White, Inc. Harold H. Shanafald Ed L. Zimmerman Lutz & Son Plumbing & Heating Co. i A contractor's bond in the sum of $1000 was approved for William H. Burke and Robert ;;H. Burke. j A contractor's bond in the sum of $5000 was approved for Raymond W. Unkart. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2830 RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That its is desirable to vacate the following: i The alley Northwest of Parkovash Avenue from Marquette Avenue to the North- easterly line of the Alley West of Marquette Avenue and From the Northwesterly line of the Alley West of Marquette Avenue to North Shore Drive. The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such vacation: Lots numbered 136 - 137 and 149= 150 North Shore Terrace Addition. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2nd day of March and on the 9t day of March, 1956 in the South Bend Tribune and The Record. This Board, at its office in the City Hall on the 12th day of March, 1956 at 10:00. A.M.(CST) will hear and receive. -remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by these proceedings. (CST). ,Attest: CLERK FEBRUARY 280 1956 r (Special Meeting) j A special meeting of the Board was called for 10:00 A.M.(CST), Tuesday, February 28i., 1956 for the purpose of awarding contract for the Sewage Lift Station and Force Main. Mr., i''Andrysiak and Mr. Bruggner were present. The Engineers tabulations and recommendation showing the bid of the H.W. Hunter from ,Plymouth, Indiana to be the lowest and best bid, contract was awarded, accordingly, and the 1Board proceeded with the approving and signing of this contract, designated at Contract No.7A !;and the examining , approving and signing of Performance and Maintenance Bonds.
