December 28, 1955 <br />s <br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, <br />�Deeember 28, 1955. All members were present. <br />The Board first considere4 the request of Ben Medow, Inc. for permission to use a <br />;mobile searchlight for the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday, December 28th and 29th <br />;respectively; the equipment to occupy the necessary space upon the sidewalk next to the <br />(curb. Permission was so granted. <br />Contractorts Bond in the sum of $1,000.00, for Wm. H. Burke & Robert H. Burke, was <br />examined and approved. <br />There being no other business to come before,the Board at this time, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 10:10 A. M. <br />JANUARY 3, 1956 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Tuesday, January 3, <br />1956 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. <br />R. S. Andrysiak, City Engineer was named Chairman of the Board of Public Works. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT <br />A letter was received from R. G. Mathiondakis, relative to a condition existing <br />near McKinley School where there are no sidewalks. This was referred to Mr. Andrysiak <br />for investigation and report. <br />A contract for the Beverly Place Sewer was approved by the Board. <br />A petition was received asking for the vacation of an alley lying between lots <br />numbered 136 and 137 in North Shore Terrace Addition and also the vacation of an alley <br />between lots 149 and 150 in North Shore Terrace Addition. This was referred to the <br />City Plan Commission for investigation and report. <br />Excavation bonds in the amount of $1,000.00 each were approved and ordered filed <br />for Earl C. DeVan, Hamilton Plumbing and Heating Company, Inc. and Slutsky Plumbing and <br />Heating Company. <br />Attest: <br />Cler <br />A petition dated December 20, 1955 was submitted to the Board by Hartman Builders, Inc. for the <br />vacation of an alley on the southeast ' Section 33, of Portage Township was next examined and referred to <br />the City Planning'Commission for investigation and recommendation. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 A. <br />1 <br />• <br />• <br />
