420 <br />Consideration was next given Contract Supplement No. 21, dated November 23, 1955 <br />also pertaining to Contract No. 11, Sollitt Construction Company, Contractor. The <br />Board approved this supplement upon the recommendation of Consoer, Townsend & Associates <br />Consulting Engineers. <br />The Board next took note of letter, dated December 15, 1955, from the O'Brien <br />`corporation, over the signature of Jerome J. Crowley, Jr., wherein they accept the <br />conditions set forth in the Board's letter of December 14, 1955, pertaining to the <br />vacation of Johnson Street, between Orange and Washington Streets. Further action <br />in this matter was held in abeyance. <br />�- A petition dated December 19, 1955, submitted by Hartman Builders, Inc., for <br />the vacation of certain lots in Chicago Plaza Addition, was next examined and referred <br />to the City Planning Commission for investigation and recommendation. <br />The time set for hearing in the matter of Taxi -cab Driver's License applicant <br />George W. Morris, having elapsed, and no persons appearing in this matter, denial <br />of license on the part of the City Controller, was, accordingly, sustained by the <br />Board. <br />Requisitions for sign blanks, and sign faces, totaling $240.00 and $340.00 <br />respectively, needed by the Traffic Engineer's Department, were considered and the <br />Clerk was directed to proceed with the purchase of this material. <br />The Board next considered an application for permit to occupy public property <br />submitted by Charles C. Taylor for Yeager Motor Company, in connection with Building <br />Permit No. 2522, and granted approval, contingent upon favorable recommendation of <br />the Traffic Engineer. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 11:35 A.
