<br />A special meeting of the Board of. Public Works was held Thursday, December 8, 1955,
<br />at 2:00 P. M. for the purpose of taking action on the Beverley Place sewer.
<br />FINAL CONFIRMATION OF IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION No. 2820 - 1955
<br />For the improvement of Beverley Place from the existing. Manhole at Lot #36 to
<br />Lathrop Street, by constructing a local combined sanitary and storm sewer under Improve-
<br />ment Resolution No. 2820, 1955, adopted November 7, 1955, and first confirmed on November,
<br />28, 1955t
<br />No written remonstrances against said improvement bearing the signatures of fifty-
<br />one per cent or more of the resident property owners on said street to be improved,
<br />having been filed within the ten day period following the date and time of the hearing on,
<br />,said improvement, therefore
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 2820, 1955, duly adopted by this Board on
<br />November 7, 1955, and first confirmed on November 28, 1955, be and the same is in all
<br />things finally confirmed and the improvement is hereby ordered made.

<br />PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC .WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />:INDIANA, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and
<br />;Estimates approved by this Board on the 7th day of November, 1955, for the improvement
<br />of Beverley Place from the existing manhole at Lot #36 to Lathrop Street, by constructing.,
<br />'a local combined sanitary and storm sewer be and the same are hereby adopted and ordered
<br />placed on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and Safety.
<br />December 19, 1955, at the hour of 11:00 otClock A. M. G.S.T. is hereby fixed as the,,
<br />;time and the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this
<br />City, as the Place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and
<br />consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the construction of'!
<br />,said work shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of this Board before 11:00 o'clock
<br />A. M. C.S.T. of said day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a
<br />'certified check, cashierts check or bid bond in the sum of 5% per cent of the amount of
<br />his bid, to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two weekly publications';
<br />of the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for the
<br />construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder
<br />shall enclose with his bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond for above
<br />named amount, to insure the execution of this contract.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned'
<br />at 2;45 P. M.
