<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2811 - 1955
<br />Certificate of Completion was furnished by the civil engineer, Paul L. Roelke,

<br />of Wilbur H. Gartner & Associates, of -the contract between the City of South Bend,
<br />I Indiana, Owner, and Niles Excavating Company, Contractor, for the construction of sewer
<br />iimprovement on THIRTY-SIXTH STREET from Jefferson Boulevard to 614 feet North, under
<br />Improvement Resolution No. 2811, has been completed in accordance with the plans and
<br />specifications for this project.
<br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FINAL ESTIMATE
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2811 - 1955-
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana, that the Final Estimate and primary Assessment Roll submitted to the
<br />Board by the City Civil Engineer or his duly authorized representative on this 17th
<br />day of October, 1955, on the imps"vement known as the THIRTY-SIXTH STREET LOCAL SEWER
<br />as described in Improvement Resolution No. 2811, 1955, and confirmed by said Board on
<br />July 102 1955, be and the same is hereby adopted, and the Clerk of this Board is hereby
<br />requested to give notice of the hearing of Special Benefits on said Improvement, as
<br />required by Section N. 111 or 120 of an Act entitled, "An Act Concerning Municipal
<br />Corporations" approved March 6, 1905.

<br />A petition, bearing forty-four signatures of residents -of Lombardy Drive,
<br />Fairview and Greenview requesting the posting of "Trucks Prohibited" signs on Lombardy
<br />Drive, was examined by the Board and referred to Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, for
<br />investigation and recommendation.
<br />Contractors Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, were examined and approved
<br />for Belleville Timber & Supply Company and John-W. 'Smith.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
<br />adjourned at 11:40 A. M.

<br />SPECIAL MEETING
<br />October 19, 1955
<br />A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held at 3:00 P. M. Wednesday,
<br />October 19, 1955, for the purpose of examining petition, dated October 6, 1955,
<br />for the improvement of Bercliff Estates, Section 1, Oakerest Drive, Sylvan Glen and
<br />Windingwood Drive; Section II, Devonshire, Wildemere, Chevy Chase, 35th Street and
<br />Windingwood Drive; Section III, Oakcrest Drive, Timber Lane, Bercliff Drive and Logan
<br />Street. The' Board approved the' petitions for a' modified s.ewer.' plan of the original
<br />Resolution No. 2814.Modified sewer plans call for smaller sewers and of lesser depth.
<br />There being no other business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
