The .Board approved the request for circus parade through the downtown area for Grotto Club to be held at 11:30 A. M. Thursday, May 26, 1955; Certificate of insurance having been filed for P. I. $100/300,000.00 and Property Damage $50,000.00, in the office of the Board of Public Works. Contractorts Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, were examined and approved for Ralph Gibson and John L. Thomas. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:50 A. Board member I. A. Hurwich was absent. The Board upon examining the tabulations submitted by Chas.. W. Cole & Son, Engin-1. eers, and being -satisfied all -legal requirements have been complied with, thereupon, awarded contract to the Reed Construction Company for the improvement•of Eddy Street from Sorin Street to South Bend Avenue, under Cnntract No. 1. 1954 General Street Improve- : ment Program. The Board upon examining the tabulations, submitted by Chas. W. Cole & Son, Engineers, and being satisfied all legal requirements have been complied with, awarded contract to Reith-Riley Construction Company for the improvement of Sample Street, from I Olive Street to Grant Street, under General Street Improvement Program.
