Toner and Genevieve Toner Louis DeBard Andrew.Riedel and Louise Riedel The Board examined and accepted Certificate of Insurance No. SO-114 under Master Policy CB2912 by Underwriters of Lloyd's London for thirty-six calendar months, expiring May 9, 1958, covering Ron -del awnings installation on south side of City Hall, as described in certificate. A petition, dated May 16, 1955, bearing six signature and calling for improvement by -construction of local sewer in Meade Street, from Elwood Avenue to Keller Street, was examined and referred to the City Engineer for investigation and recommendations. A petition, dated May 16, 1955, bearing fourteen signatures and calling for the improvement of Sibley Street, from College to Brookfield, by the construction of permanent type pavement, was examined and referred to the City Engineer for investigation and recommendations. TRAFFIC ENGINEER: The. request of Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, for permission to attend the Third Annual Traffic Conference at Purdue University to be held on Thursday and Friday, May 1119th and 20th was next considered by the Board. Inasmuch as this conference will deal ';with a most important and pressing problem, the parking situation, the Board was in 0 unanimous agreement in gran.tifg this request. o The Board next examined and approved a maintenance bond, in the sum of $7,938.48 ;for the maintaining of concrete pavement on Alpine Street, from Miami Street to Norton '.,Street, binding Nelda R. Keller, d/b/a Ralph Keller Co., as principal and American Casualty Company as Surety. Excavation Bonds in the sum of $10,000.00 each, for Hilton Construction Company,Inc., and the New York Central Railroad, were examined and approved by the Board. An Excavation Bond, in the sum of $2,000.00, for Jamos A, Currie, was examined and approved by the Board. The Board examined and approved excavation bond in the sum of $1,000.00, for Indiana Bell Telephone Company. Contractor's Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, were examined and approved for the following contractors: Hilton Construction Co., Inc. William Kelly Richard H. Reinoehl The Board approved S-T-O-P and YIELD RIGHT OF WAY sign installations as follows: STOP Sign on Lake Street at southeast corner of Washington Street STOP Sign on Lake Street on both sides at Jefferson STOP Sign on northeast corner of Calvert at Carlisle Street STOP Sign on Rupel Street on both sides at Brookfield Street STOP Sign on southwest corner of Colfax at Ironwood Drive STOP Sign on Washington Street both sides at Ironwood Drive STOP Sign on both sides Wilson at Ironwood Drive STOP Sign installed on Hastings Street both sides at 35th Street STOP Sign installed on both sides Clyde Street at Fox Street STOP Sign on both sides Clyde Street at Altgeld Street STOP Sign on southwest corner of Marquette Street at Elmer Street YIELD RIGHT OF WAY Sign on southwest corner of Calvert at Carlisle YIELD RIGTiT OF WAY Sign on Brookfield, both sides, at Bergan YIELD RIGHT OF WAY Sign on southeast corner of College Street at Bergan YIELD RIGHT OF WAY Signs on each end of the short cut at the southeast corner of Sample and Olive Street.
