<br />IMPROVE14ENTS RESOLUTIONS CONFIRMED
<br />RESOLUTION NO.2788 - For the improvement of DUNHAM STREET under Improvement
<br />Resolution No. 2788, adopted July 6, 1954, from the west line of Olive Street to the
<br />east line of Kaley Street by constructing a Class 110 Pavement.
<br />RESOLUTION NO.2789 - For the improvement of SOUTH BROOKE'IELD STREET under.Improve-
<br />,ment Resolution No. 2789, adopted July 6, 1954 from the south line of Indiana Avenue
<br />to the north line of Prairie Avenue by constructing a Class 110 Pavement.
<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2793 - For the improvement of HAWTHORNE DRIVE under Improvement
<br />Resolution No. 2793, 1954, adopted July 6, 1954 from the south line of lot 137 in
<br />Jefferson Heights Addition (unrecorded) to the south line of McKinley Avenue by construst
<br />ing a local sewer.
<br />RESOLUTION N0. 2794 - For the improvement of GRANT STREET under Improvement
<br />Resolution No. 2794, 1954, adopted J�ly 6, 1954, from the center line of Indiana Avenue
<br />to the center line of Prairie Avenue by constructing a local sewer.
<br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised on the
<br />premises and the Clerk of the Board having shown proofs of publication of the notices
<br />to property owners and the same having been found sufficient, the Board decides that
<br />the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the
<br />estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, therefore
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 2793, duly passed by this Board on July 6, 1954
<br />for the above improvement be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed and the
<br />improvement is hereby in all things ordered to be made.
<br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED - RESOLUTION NO.2793
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that the Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and
<br />Estimates approved by this Board on the 6th day of July, 1954, fcr the improvement of
<br />HAWTHORNE DRIVE fr-om the south line of lot 137 in Jefferson Heights Addition to the
<br />south line of McKinley Avenue by constructing a local sewer, be and the same are hereby
<br />adopted and ordered placed on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and
<br />Safety.
<br />August 16, 1954, at the hour of 10:00 A. M. Central Standard Time is hereby fixed
<br />as the time and the office of the Board of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall
<br />of this City, as the place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will
<br />open and consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the
<br />construction of said work shall be filed in the office of the Clerk of this Board
<br />before 10:00 o'clock A. M. CST of said day. Each bidder for said work shall.enclose
<br />with his bid a -certified check, payable to the Treasurer of this City in the sum of
<br />two and one-half (21) per cent of the amount of his bid, or a bid bond for two and
<br />one-half percent of the amount of his bid, to insure the execution of this contract,
<br />if said work is awarded to him.
<br />The clerk of this Board is hereby ordered, to give notice by two weekly publications
<br />of the time and place,.when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for
<br />the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each
<br />bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for above named amount,
<br />to insure ithe execution of this contract.
