207 <br />i <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />El <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />July 28, 1954 <br />A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held in accordance with legal <br />;!notice of hearings on Wednesday evening, July 28, 1954, at 6:30 P. M. C.S.T., relative <br />to the following Improvement Resolutions: <br />RESOLUTION NO.2788 - Improvement of DUNHAM STREET from the west line of Olive <br />( Street to the east line of Kaley Street, by constructing a <br />Class "C" pavement. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2789 - Improvement of SOUTH BROOKFIELD STREET from the south line <br />of Indiana Avenue to the north line of Prairie Avenue, by <br />constructing a Class "C" pavement. <br />RESOLUTION NO.2793 - Improvement of Hawthorne Drive,. from the center line of lots <br />136 and 153 in Jefferson Heights Addition to the -south line of <br />McKinley Avenue, by constructing a local sewer. <br />RESOLUTION N0.2794 - Improvement of GRANT STREET, from the center line of Indiana <br />Avenue to the center line of Prairie Avenue, by constructing <br />a local sewer. <br />Meeting was opened by Chairman of the Board, R. S. Andrysiak, by the introduction <br />of Board members, and Civil Engineers, Wilbur H. Gartner and Richard B. Gartner. <br />The chairman then proceeded to explain in detail Barrett Law financing procedure <br />!land the procedure of petitioning for and remonstrating against public improvements, <br />;following which he announced the front foot estimated cost, pointing out to the assembled <br />:home -owners that this estimate represents maximum cost and that competitive bidding <br />will, in•.all probability,Lower the figure quoted. <br />The meeting was then opened for informal discussion and examination of blueprints. <br />There being no other matters for consideration at this time, the meeting adjourned. <br />
