for the period from August 16th to August 31st, and seeking.permission of the Board for <br />the placing of their March of Dimes booth in front of Robertson's, throughout the period.] <br />The Board offered no objection, and granted permission with the -stipulation that the ii <br />foundation secures the permission of Robertsons likewise. <br />The Board next held the hearing as advertised in the matter of Taxicab License <br />Application of John L. Detzler. Present for the hearing were John L. Detzler, applicant,;; <br />Otto Morehouse, representing Taxicab Drivers Local No. 141, A. F. of L. Roy Sharp, <br />Manager and Samuel Shulman,Attorney, representing Indiana, Yellow, South Bend and United <br />taxicabs. All persons were heard, in considerable detail, and the Board then took the ' <br />matter under rurther advisement. is <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2765 <br />The single remonstrator in the matter of the vacation of the ALLEY WEST OF LAUREL <br />STREET, Mrs. H. J. Sobolewski, having, in writing, withdrawn her remonstrance, the <br />Board.proeeeded with the hearing. <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award <br />of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of THE ALLEY ZEST <br />OF LAUREL STREET, FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF THOMAS STREET SOUTH, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-FOUR <br />and FIVE TENTHS FEET, under Vacation Resolution No. 27 5. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />11remonstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of <br />°notices and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several <br />lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said <br />;roll. The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment roll and <br />:declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and <br />the proceedings closed, and the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit 3 <br />'assessments from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had with <br />'reference to said alley vacation are hereby sustained. • <br />i <br />Excavatorts Bnnd, in the sum of $1,000.00, binding Geo. E. Sibley, d/b/a George <br />I'E. Sibley Company, as principal, and Fire Association of Philadelphia, as sureties, j <br />fwas examined and approved by the Board. i! <br />Contractorfs Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, for the following were examined <br />and approved by -the Board: <br />i <br />Melvin L. Humphrey, d/b/a Melvin L. Humphrey & Son <br />Carl J. Reinke & Sons <br />Oden R.
