9 <br />i <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />July 7, 1954 <br />A Special meeting of the Board of Public Works was held in accordance with legal <br />notice of hearings on Wednesday evening, July 7, 1954, at 6:30 P.M. C.S.T., relative <br />to the following Improvement Resolutions: <br />i <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2775 - Improvement on SOUTH LADE STREET from the center line of <br />alley north of Jefferson Street to the center line of alley <br />north of Western Avenue by constructing a local sewer. <br />• <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2778 - Improvement on NORTH IOWA STREET from the center line of <br />Ardmore Trail to the center line of Locke Street by construct- <br />ing a local sewer. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2779 - Improvement on GERTRUDE STREET from 233 feet south of the center <br />! <br />line of Prairie Avenue to thecenter line of Lot 31 in Sumptio�l <br />i Prairie Addition by constructing a local sewer. <br />a <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2782 - Improvement of ALLEY BET'iVE'EN COLLEGE AND BROOKFIELD STREETS <br />� <br />from the north line of Humboldt Street to the first alley <br />j north by constructing a Class "C" Pavement. <br />• <br />! RESOLUTION NO. 2783 - Improvement of ALLEY BETWEEN COTTAGE GROVE AVENUE AND CUSHING <br />l STREET from the north line of Van Buren Street to the east <br />line of Cottage Grove Avenue by constructing a Class "C" <br />Pavement. <br />j <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2784 - Improvement of ALLEY FRO!.," PORTAGE COURT TO LELAND AVENUE AND <br />BETWEEN PORTAGE AVENUE AND ASHLAND AVENUE by constructing a <br />Class "C" Pavement. <br />Member of the Board James :Q. Bickel was absent. <br />Meeting was opened by Chairman of the Board, R. S. Adnrysiak, by the introduction <br />of the Board members, and Civil Engineers Wilbur H. Gartner and Richard B. Gartner. <br />The chairman then proceeded to explain in detail Barrett Law financing procedure <br />and the procedure of petitioning for and remonstrating against public improvements, <br />0 following which he announced the front foot estimated cost, pointing out to the <br />1 <br />assembled home -owners that this estimate represents maximum cost and that competitive <br />1; bidding will, in all nrobability,lower the figure quoted. <br />The chair -man then opened the meeting for informal discussion and examination of <br />blueprints. <br />There being no other matters for consideration at this time, the meeting adjourned. <br />CD <br />0 <br />0- <br />E <br />0 <br />
