<br />Special Meeting - May 20, 1954
<br />A special meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Thursday, May 20, 1954,
<br />at 2:00 P. M. All members were present. In compliance with a, request from Mayor Scott
<br />received this date, Messrs. Tomlinson and Cripe were called before the Board to discuss
<br />garbage collection. The Board unanimously adopted the following order:
<br />In areas where there are no alleys curb pick up is no longer mandatory.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned •
<br />at 2:30 P.M.

<br />The Board first approved the veterants flower sale request of Post 125, Polish
<br />Army Veterans, for Friday and Saturday, June 19th and 20th, and directed that A.Pejza,
<br />chairman , be notified accordingly.
<br />The Board next examined and approved drawing submitted by the Portage Realty Cor-
<br />poration for the Hawthorne Drive, as proposed by Wm. S. Moore, Engineer.
<br />D E D I C A T I O N
<br />WHEREAS, a plat with dedication of streets and utility easements indicated thereon
<br />is now presented to the Board, to be known as EDISON PARK SECOND ADDITION, an addition
<br />to South Bend, Indiana, and
<br />This plat and dedication is filed in the records of the Board of Public Works
<br />and Safety and recorded in Book # , Page , in the Recorders s Office of St. Joseph
<br />County.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets and utility easements dedicated to the
<br />public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf
<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Contract Supplement No. 1, applying to Contract P-6, American Vitrified Products
<br />Company,. Contractor, bearing date of May 20, 1954, Was next examined and approved by the
<br />Board.
<br />Contract Supplement No. 1, applying to Contract No. 6, Santucci Construction
<br />Company, Contractors, bearing date of May 13, 1954, was examined and approved by the
<br />Board.
