Andrysiak, placed before the Board certified copy of tabulation! <br />of bids opened on January 28, 1954 at 10:00 A. M. C.S.T. on the public improvements, <br />namely Sewage Disposal Plant and Interceptor Sewers. The Board then authorized <br />the Clerk of the Board to return all certified checks of the unsuccessful bidders, <br />submitted with bids on the project, by registered mail and return receipt requested. <br />Certified copy of bid tabulations was then ordered filed. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2?70 - 1954 <br />RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: <br />iThat it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />LOTS, UTILITY EASEMENTS AND STREETS, ALL IN <br />A PART OF EDISON PARK ADDITION TO THE CITY <br />OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected by such <br />vacation; <br />Lots Numbered 206 to 247 inclusive <br />and <br />Lots Numbered 274 to 298 inclusive <br />in Edison Park Addition. <br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 12th day of February and on <br />iithe 19th day of February, 1954 in the South Bend Tribune and Tri-County News. <br />This Board, at it-s office in the City Hall on <br />A. Bickel <br />Board of Public Works & Safety <br />is <br />j A bid bond submitted by Kenny Construction Co., Skokie, Illinois, for substitution <br />Alin lieu of certified check, was examined by the Board and ordered returned, inasmuch <br />':as the bid security of all unsuccessful bidders are to be returned immediately. <br />Jacob D. Moore then appeared before the Board in the matter of securing a taxicab <br />driverts license, application having been held in abeyance by the City Controller, <br />pending a question as to its legality. Assistant City Attorney, Arthur A. May, being <br />present, recommended that the required affidavits be secured from other than those <br />originally signing this application, whose status as " resident householders", within <br />the meaning of the ordinance governing the issuance of license, is in question. The <br />Board accordingly requested applicant to obtain the required affidavits to support <br />his application, upon presentation bf which, the Controller will again consider issuance <br />of taxicab driverts license to Mr. Moore. <br />• Angelo Soropano then appeared as an applicant for taxicab driverts license, but <br />I'not having a written application on file, his appearance did not concern the Board <br />[and he was accordingly dismissed. <br />
