W <br />40 <br />NOTICE OF HEARING SPECIAL BENEFITS ON STREET IMPROVEMENT <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2745 - 1953 <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />I <br />Notice is hereby given, that the following Street Improvement has been completed <br />and the general character of the Improvement, the street on which it has been made, and ! <br />the terminal points thereof, are as follows: NORTH HUEY STREET from 30 feet south of the <br />south line of Hamilton Street to 264 feet south of the south line of Hamilton Street by <br />constructing a local sewer. <br />There is on file in the Office of the City Controller of the City of South Bend, { <br />Indiana, an assessment roll with the names of the owners and description of property <br />subject to be assessed with the amount of the prima facia assessment, and can be seen <br />in the Office of said City Controller. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety of said City, at the Office of the Board in <br />said City, will on the 27th day of July 1953, at 10:00 o'clock A. P/. Central Standard <br />Time receive and hear remonstrances against the amounts assessed against their property <br />respectively on said roll and will determine the question as to whether such lots or <br />tracts of land, have been or will be benefited by said improvement to the amounts named <br />on said roll, or is greater or less than that named on said roll or in any sum. Ziegler <br />Board of Public Works & Safety <br />A petition, dated July 13, 1953, for the paving of South Liberty Street, from <br />Western Avenue north to the alley intersection at 125 South Liberty Street, was <br />examined and referred to the office of the City Engineer for investigation. <br />In the matter of the issuance of a taxi -cab license to George Bernath, no action <br />was taken other than the continuance of this matter under advisement. <br />It was the decision of the Board to defer the painting of the City Hall flagpole <br />until 1954- I <br />The Board approved the installation of S-T-O-P Signs on Dean and Klinger Streets <br />at Fellows Street. � <br />STREET DEPA=,,riENT: <br />H. N. Tomlinson, Street Commissioner, being present, brought to the Boardts <br />attention the request of Mr. IVlarcus N. Thrasher, 1209 S. Greenlawn Avenue, for. the i <br />oiling of South Greenlawn Avenue, a distance of one block, to al14y the dust condition J� <br />caused by excessive traffic to and from the Naval Reserve Armory. Request was approved <br />by the Board. <br />
