The model will be calibrated using information obtained from the field
investigations and the metering of the Corby Street storm sewer. LFA
does not intend to model the existing combined sewers or future storm
sewers.
Assumptions:
Information pertaining to the flow from the University retention
basin to the Corby Street storm sewer will be provided by the
University upon request from the City. This shall include an
outflow hydrograph and method of operation.
• The separated storm sewer system will be sized for the 10-year,
Time of Concentration storm event.
• City will provide GIS information for existing sewers and
redevelopment plans for the study area.
• Commercial development will be required to store the 10-year, 6-
hour storm event volume.
5. EVALUATION OF ALTERNATIVES AND LETTER REPORT
LFA will evaluate alternatives for separating the existing combined
sewers and providing the capacity to convey the necessary storm events.
A preliminary drawing will be provided showing the trunk line sizing of the
most feasible alternative along with a preliminary cost estimate.
LFA will prepare a letter report summarizing the study findings and the
proposed recommended alternative. The report will include an analysis of
the current available capacity of the Corby Street storm sewer and
recommendations regarding future sewer infrastructure improvements
(trunk sewer sizing) for sewer separation in the study area. The Draft
Report will be provided to the City for review and comment. Following
receipt of the City's comments, the report will be finalized and five (5)
copies of the Final Report will be submitted to the City along with a PDF.
Appendix 2, Scope of Work
EJCDC E-520 Short Form of Agreement Between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services.
Copyright 02009 National Society of Professional Engineers for EJCDC.
