If it is determined that left turn lanes are warranted, this task will <br />include determination of storage and taper lane lengths. <br />f) Engineer shall evaluate a conceptual design to accommodate the future <br />condition of the intersection. This may include traffic equipment placement <br />and any right of way requirements. <br />g) Preparation of schematic plans of any recommended geometric <br />improvements and the opinion of probable construction cost are not included <br />in this task, <br />h) Engineer shall prepare a Draft report in letter format for the Owner's review. <br />It is assumed three (3) copies shall be provided to the Owner for review <br />purposes. It is assumed that no other agency will be involved in the review <br />and continent process. <br />i) Upon resolution of comments on the draft report, Engineer shall prepare a <br />final letter report and will submit three (3) copies to the Owner. <br />B. Engineer's services under this Study and Report Phase will be considered complete <br />on the date when the revised Report and any other deliverables have been delivered <br />to the Owner. <br />A1.02 DESIGN SERVICES <br />A. Pick -Up Topographic Survey <br />1. Concurrently with the preparation of the draft Traffic Study Report, and upon <br />written authorization from Owner, Engineer shall: <br />a) Provide necessary additional pick-up field and topographic surveys for <br />design purposes including the following (For survey limits, See Exhibits <br />A.1.): <br />b) Establish horizontal and vertical control throughout the project limits. <br />Horizontal control will be based on Indiana State Plane Coordinates, East <br />Zone, NAD83. Vertical control will be based on NAVD88. <br />c) Request the marking of the underground utilities through the Indiana 811 <br />service <br />d) Provide pick-up supplemental topographic mapping within the limits <br />indicated in Exhibits A.1. The width of the survey corridor will be the <br />apparent right-of-way. The mapping will include features such as curbs, <br />sidewalks, traffic poles, underground utility markings, etc. The height of <br />overhang features such as canopies and traffic signals will be an additional <br />service.
