4.2 Uniforms. All employees of Manager shall be neatly attired in laundered <br />uniforms which properly identify the Golf Course and the individual employee, and <br />which are mutually approved by the Manager and Owner. <br />4.3 Employee Policies. <br />a. Manager's employees shall be allowed to purchase meals, while working, at 50% <br />of the posted menu price. Employees may not purchase or consume alcoholic <br />beverages while on duty. <br />b. Manager's employees shall be entitled to purchase merchandise for 10% over cost. <br />c. Owner maintains a drug-free workplace. Manager shall comply with all <br />regulations, rules and policies of the Owner with respect to the same, including, <br />but not limited to pre-employment drug testing. <br />SECTION 5 <br />GOLF INSTRUCTION <br />5.1 Golf Instruction Clinics. Manager shall provide and conduct through its <br />Teaching Professional, at different times during the day and evening and at reasonable <br />cost in accordance with the Annual Plan and Budget, instruction clinics open to the <br />public during the Golf Season, and "Learn to Golf' sessions for beginning golfers of <br />various skill levels. <br />5.2 Golf Academy. Manager shall provide and operate the "Blackthorn Golf <br />Academy" which shall be the umbrella for all instructional programs under its Teaching <br />Professional. Manager shall make commercially reasonable efforts to develop the Golf <br />Academy into a regional golf school, with 2-day and 3-day instructional programs of a <br />quality comparable to that provided at golf resort-based schools or "Golf Digest" schools. <br />5.3 Junior Golf. Manager shall provide and conduct a Junior Golf Program in <br />cooperation with the Junior Golf Program conducted by the City of South Bend. In <br />connection with the operation of the Junior Golf Program, Manager shall conduct <br />programs of instruction in groups organized by age and ability, at a reasonable cost and in <br />accordance with the Annual Plan and Budget. The Junior Golf Program shall emphasize <br />basic knowledge of the rules and etiquette of the game and playing skills, as well as <br />exposure to the Course as they progress through the instruction. Better players shall be <br />exposed to some competition. Manager shall conduct and operate a Junior Golf <br />Tournament near the conclusion of the Golf Season. <br />-9- <br />
