Michael Divita
From: Michael Divita
Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2017 12:32 PM
To: Linda Martin
Cc: Jitin Kain; Tim Corcoran
Subject: BPW Item / Safe Streets Academy
Hi, Linda,
f am sending you via interoffice mail a memorandum of understanding between the City and Smart Growth America for
approval at the November 14 Board of Public Works meeting. This MOU may require a quick legal review by Catherine
Fanello. Providing some brief background: The MOU lays out an understanding of responsibilities related to the Safe
Streets Academy, a technical assistance opportunity that the City won in a competitive application process. The MOU
itself has no cost; the City will not be paying Smart Growth America anything for the assistance. Any associated costs for
travel, meeting space, and demonstration project that are not reimbursed will be paid through department budgets using
typical procedures.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
s ru
Michael Divita, AICP
Planner
.
Department of Community Investment
City of South Bend
227 W.
