M i December 15, 1952 A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Monday, December 15, 1952 at 10:00 A. M. ;All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Claims of the following suppliers, in the total amount of 5,530.55, were approved and ordered paid: Walter J. Tomlinson 116.35 In the matter of the hearing scheduled for this date on the posting against public use of that portion of East Colfax Avenue, between Ironwood Drive and Tuxedo Drive, decision was made to set this hearing forward for 11:00 A. M. Monday, December 22, 1952• i VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2741 This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of the first alley North of FORD STREET FROM WALNUT STREET EAST TO THE WEST LINE OF THE ALLEY EAST OF WALNUT STREET, UNDER Vacation Resolution No. 2741. In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written re- monstrances were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notice and same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore, decided to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the pro- ceedings closed, and portion of the alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of bene- fit assessments from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings had i with reference to said alley vacation are hereby sustained. VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2742 This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of vacation of the following alley or alleys, to.wit: Commencing at a point seven feet (71) North of the Southeast corner of Lot No. 30 as shown on the Recorded Plat of Stull's Third Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, and on the Westerly line of Main Street; thence West one hundred sixty-five feet (165t) to a point on the Westerly line of said Lot No. 30, which is seven feet (71) North of the Southwesterly corner of said Lot No. 30; thence North thirty-six feet and two inches (36121T) to the Northwesterly corner of said Lot No. 30;-thence West fourteen feet (141 ); thence South fifty feet and two inches (50t21t); thence East one hundred seventy-nine feet (1791) to a point on the West line of Main Street, which is seven feet (7t) South i of the Southeasterly corner of said Lot No. 30; thence North along the Westerly line of Main Street fourteen feet (141) to the place of beginning, under i Vacation Resolution No. 2742.
