Andrysiak, City Engineer, filed primary assessment roll showing <br />the awards <br />of damages and the assessments of benefits in the matter of vacation of the <br />FIRST ALLEY <br />NORTH OF FORD STREET FROM WALNUT STREET east to the west line of the alley <br />east of Walnut <br />• <br />Street, under Vacation Resolution No. 2741. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that it will meet in <br />the City Hall at 11:00 A. M. on the 15th day of December, 1952 for the purpose of hearing <br />and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said vacation, <br />and the Board further orders that notice of said 'nearing;, together with the amount of <br />damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners by publishing <br />same on the 21st day of November, on the 28th day of November, and on the 5th day of <br />December, 1952 in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County Nevis. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2742 - 1952 <br />R. M. on the 15th day of December, 1952 for the purpose of <br />hearing and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by said <br />vacation, and the Board further orders that notice of said hearing, together with the • <br />amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed be addressed to the property owners by <br />publishing same on the 21st day of November, on the 28th day of November, and on the <br />5th day of December, 1952 in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News. <br />The Board next took up for consideration an application for Taxicab Driver's <br />license, which had been rejected by the City Controller under date of November 13, 1952. <br />The Board in turn, sustained the rejecting of the application and directed the Clerk to <br />so notify the applicant, setting the hour of 11:00 o'clock, :Monday, November 24, 1952 <br />as the time for a hearing before the Board in this matter, in the event the applicant <br />desires to present to the Board character �iitnesses and protest refusal of license. <br />An Excavation Bond in the sum of $1,000.00, binding L. 0. Hawkins d/b/a Hawkins � • <br />Plumbing and Supply Company, was examined and approved by the Board. <br />
