F'4 5 8 { The proposal of Daniel Radmanovich to providea bench for bus patrons at suitable bus stops, to be for advertising purposes, was given further consideration and the Board will sanction the benches Mr. Radmanovich desires to install, provided he will enter into a contract to maintain them in good condition, keep a reasonable area in the vicinity of each bench clear of such rubbish as bottles and waste -paper, keep the advertising signs brightly painted and permit the Board to pass on all advertising copy to be used, as well as furnish satisfactory public liability bond and property damage insurance. I An Excavatorts Bond,in the amount of $5,006.00 for Rieth-Riley Construction Company was examined andapprovedby the Board, as was. also $1,000.00 Bond for Fred Spromberg. The following Contractor's Bonds, ;each in the amount of.,$1,000.00 were examined and approved: STANLEY J. 14EZYKOWSKI HERRON MURRAY ODEN R. ROBERTSON WALTER SZYMCZAK DONALD R YEAGLEY A Sign -Board and Bill -Board Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 for Harold F. Haenes was examined and ordered filed. A complaint in regard to method of garbage pick-up in the 3300 Block of East Jefferson Boulevard was brought,to the attention of the Board. The Board conceded that the method described in the complaint is that in general practice throughout that particular area and will have to be complied with by the residents of that section. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:45 A.M. Attest: GGr "V C,� Clerk SPECIAL n-EETING July 10, 1952 A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held in accordance with legal notice of hearings on Thursday evening, July 10, 1952 at 6:30 P.M. (CST), relative to the following Improvements Resolutions: Resolution No. 2718 - Improvement of Randolph Street from the east line of Sampson Street to the west line of Ironwood Drive by constructing a Class "C" pavement. Resolution No. 2720 - Improvement of Elwood Avenue from the west line of O'Brien Street to the east line of Elmer Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement. Members present were R. S. Andrysiak and Irving A. Hurwich. The meeting was called to order at 7:45 D.S.T. Mr. Andrysiak explained the Barrett Law procedure to the assembled property owners in detail and answered questions.
