Noble, Clerk <br />NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS <br />Nos 17772byV a.nd2602, 1951 <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />September 21, 1951 <br />To Whom It May Concern September 28, 1951 <br />Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South B <br />Bend, Indiana, on the lst day of October, 1951, at the hour of ll:00 a.m., C.S.T., at the <br />office of the Board, in the City Hall, in said City, will open and consider sealed bids, <br />and designate by preliminary order the kind of pavement to be.used, for the following <br />described street improvements, as provided for in improvement Resolution Number 2675, <br />1951, duly passed by said Board on August 20, 1951, and confirmed on September 17, 1951, <br />to wit: ILLINOIS STREET from the south line of Western Avenue to the north line of Huron <br />Street by constructing a Class 11C" pavement, AND <br />Improvement Resolution No. 2679, 1951, duly passed by said Board on August 20, 1951, and <br />confirmed on September 17, 1951, to wit: VGELLINGTON STREET from the south line of Huron <br />Street to the north line of Ford Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement, AND <br />improvement Resolution Number 2682, 1951, duly passed by said Board on August 20, 1951, <br />and confirmed on September 17, 1951, to wit: NORTH SHORE DRIVE from the :rest line of Mi <br />Michigan Street to the east line of Lafayette Blvd., by constructing a Class "C" Bitumi- <br />1nous Concrete (AH) Re -surf ace pavement. <br />Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the office <br />of the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City before 11:00 o1clock <br />AM -CST of said day. <br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a Certified Check payable to <br />the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and one-half (2-;Iy) per cent of the amount <br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid, <br />to insure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him. <br />Detailed plans and specifications for said improvements are on file in the office <br />of the Board of Public Works and Safety. <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bids. <br />Dated this 17th day of September, 1951. <br />Freda G.
