218 <br />GINEERING DEPARTMENT; A Contractor's Bond•was approved and ordered filed for the Singe <br />nufacturing Company. <br />The Chamber of Co_rmerce filed a'. Certificate of Insurance covering Christmas street de <br />corations. <br />The Board approved easements through private property for the interceptor sewers in <br />Contract No. 3. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2656 <br />This being the date set, hearing was bled on the assessment roll showing the award of da- <br />mages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of Vacation of the first alley south <br />of Fredrickson from O'Brien Street to the east line of the north and south alley AND from <br />the west line of the north and south alley to Huey Street under Vacation Resolution No. <br />2656. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance$ <br />were filed, the Clerk of the Board submitted proofs of publication of notices and same wefe <br />found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several lots and parcels of laid <br />have been benefited and damaged in the amounts shown on said roll. The Board, therefore,, <br />decided to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ra- I <br />tified, confirmed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed, and the <br />alley vacated upon receipt of the amount of benefit assessments from the various property <br />owners so benefited and all proceedings had with reference to said allay vacation are <br />hereby sustained. <br />VACAT ION. Gates for the erection_ of a temporary canopy acrosp <br />the sidewalk from Thursday, October 7, to Tuesday, October 12. <br />STREET DEPARTMENT: Melton 0. Brannan, Street Commissioner, was present. and matters per- <br />taining to his Department were discussed. <br />CEMETARY DEPARTMENT: Stanley Leszczynski, Sexton, was present and matters pertaining to <br />hid Department were discussed. <br />PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Maurice C.
