<br />Therefore Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public `;:pork's and Safety of the City of Sout�
<br />Bend, Indiana that the bid of Reed Construction Company for the construction of the Improve-
<br />ment described in Improvement Resolution No. 2616, 1950 passed by this Board on January j
<br />23, 1950 and confirmed by this Board on February 20, 1950 be and the same is hereby accepted
<br />and that the City of South Bend, Indiana, thru its Mayor and Board of Public Works and
<br />Safety enter into a. written contract with said Reed Construction Company for the faithful'
<br />execution of such work, according to said bid, the detailed plans and specifications a.nd
<br />the terms of said Resolution, provided that before entering upon the performance of said
<br />contract, said Reed Construction Company shall give bond, in the amount equal to one
<br />hundred (100 ) per cent of the contract price for such work, with a Surety Company legal-
<br />ly authorized to transact business in the State of Indiana, as Surety, to the approval of
<br />this Board, to secure the performance of such contract, and to hold the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana, harmless from payment of any debt or damage by reason of any act of such !
<br />Contractor, and to secure the payment of all claims for labor and material used in such
<br />improvement.
