All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were <br />read and approved. There were no claims of suppliers to be approved. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT:_ Mr. Ernest Miller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters per- <br />taining to his Department were discussed. <br />TAXI CABS' <br />Leon Kowalski, representing Joseph Binder of the Twin City Cab Company, appeared before <br />the Board to discuss Mr. Binder's request for a Taxi cab stand on the corner of Spencer <br />and Michigan Street, The Board took this matter under advisement. <br />Coy band, Jr. appeared before the Board requesting permission to eatablish a taxi cab <br />stand. The Board took this matter under advisement. <br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: <br />A Contractor's Bond in the amount of $1000.00 was approved and ordered filed for <br />Charles W. Aulm. , <br />The $oard discussed the matter of the repairs to the Logan Street Bridge and dir- <br />ected the Clerk of the Board to write the following letter to the St. Joseph County <br />Commissioners and the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Mishawaka. <br />" Several Months ago we notified you that the City of South <br />Bend would be willing to participate with you and the County <br />Commissioners in repairing the Logan Street Bridge. We can- <br />not repair our portion of the bridge unless the work is under- <br />taken simaltaneously by the other parties. <br />We are very interested in getting these repairs to said bridge <br />completed at the earliest possible date and request your co- <br />t' to th d th 4- th' k b 1' h d <br />opera lon e en a is �ror may e Go— is e as ex- <br />peditiously as possible. <br />If you are ready to proceed at this time, please contact our <br />City Engineer who has advised this Board that the City of '. <br />South Bend is'ready at any time to perform its share.
