Substitute Bill No. 77-17 <br /> SUBSTITUTE BILL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA,APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND ENTERPRISE OPERATIONS IN 2017 OF $20,000 FROM <br /> EMS OPERATING FUND(#288), $7,823 FROM CONSOLIDATED BUILDING <br /> FUND—CODE ENFORCEMENT(#600), $100,000 FROM SEWER INSURANCE <br /> FUND (#640), $288,850 FROM SEWAGE WORKS OPERATIONS & <br /> MAINTENANCE FUND (#641), $10,800 FROM SEWAGE DEPRECIATION FUND <br /> (#642)AND $200 FROM 2011 SEWER BOND FUND (#659). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2017 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2016 (Ordinance#10458-16 passed on October 24, 2016),which included expenditures <br /> for various City enterprise operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds <br /> for operational expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services to its <br /> citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2017 and <br /> set apart within the following designated funds for operational expenses as follows: <br /> Fund Amount <br /> EMS Operating Fund(#288) $ 20,000 <br /> Consolidated Building Fund(#600) 7,823 <br /> Sewer Insurance Fund(#640) 100,000 <br /> Sewage Works O&M(#641) 288,850 <br /> Sewage Depreciation Fund(#642) 10,800 <br /> 2011 Sewer Bond Fund(#659) 200 <br /> S 427,673 <br /> Section II.
