Very truly yours, BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY s/ Freda G. Noble, Clerk ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: A Contractor's Bond in the amount of $1,000 was approved and ordered filed for Ward F. Fries. • An Excavation Bond in the amount of $1,000 was approved and ordered filed for William L. Turnock. • • 0 .The°•°Riled Construction Company filed a Maintenance Bond in the amount of $7,357.75 covering the pavement on South Main Street. DEDICATION WHEREAS, a plat with dedications of streets and alleys indicated thereon is now presented to the Board to be known as a Replat of Part of Second Plat of LaSalle Park, an addition to South Bend, Indiana, and This plat and dedication is file in the records of the Board of Public Works and Safety in Row # 21, Drawer-, and recorded in Book Page , in the Recorders Office of St. Joseph County. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alleys and public places dedicated to the public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on behalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana. BUSSES: The following letter was received from the Northern Indiana Transit Company: Replying to your letter under date of November 15th7 191-9, in regard to the schedule of our North Side bus line, I will say that Councilman Glass has been misinformed. Altho we have carried on our lines One Million Six Hundred and Forty-six Thousand fewer passengers in the first nine months of 1949 than we did in 191-8, we have the same schedule on the North Side Line that we have had for a long time past as is shown in the enclosed schedule. Permission was granted to the Salvation Army to have their Annual Christmas Kettles at the following locations: Michigan and Jefferson Streets Michigan and Colfax Avenue Michigan and Washington Streets Michigan and Monroe Street Lafayette and Western Avenue Michigan and Sample Streets, CEMETERY DEPART11ENT: __.Mr. Stanley Lesczyzniski, Sexton, was present and matters per- taining to his department were discussed. PARKING METER DEPARTMENT: Mr. Maurice C. Vennet, Auditor, presented his report for the week ending November 19, 191-9. There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 A. M.
