<br />Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
<br />South Bend Indiana, on the 8th day of Junef 1:949, at the hour of 10:00 A,M,C,S,T,
<br />at the office of the Board, in the City Hall, in Said City, will open and consider
<br />sealed bids, and designate by preliminary order the kind of pavement to be used, for
<br />the following described street improvement, as provided for in Improvement Resolution
<br />No. �587,, 1949,, duly passed by said Board on April 25, 1949, and May 23, 1949, to -wit:
<br />Garden Lane from the north line of Dogwood Drive to 20' north of the South Line of
<br />Sample Street by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a Class "C" Pavement,
<br />Types one (1) to Five (5) inclusive.
<br />Provided, all bids for the construction of said work, shall be filed in the office
<br />of the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety of said City before 10:00 A.M.C.SS.
<br />of said day.
<br />Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a Certified Check payable to
<br />the Treasurer of said City, in the sum of two and ore -half (22) percent of the amount
<br />of his bid or a bid bond for two and one-half (22) per cent of the amount of his bid,
<br />to insure the execution of Contract, if said work is awarded to him.
<br />Detailed plans and specifications for said improvement are on file in the office
<br />of the Department of Engineering.
<br />The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bidds

<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION

<br />. For the improvement of Grace Street under Improvement Resolution No. 2588, 1949,
<br />from the West Line of Alley West of Webster Street to the West property line of Oliver
<br />Farm Equipment Company property by draining, grading and paving the roadway with a
<br />Class "C" pavement, Types One (1) to Five (5) inclusive.
<br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised on the
<br />premises, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for
<br />said improvement are Equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City
<br />Civil Engineer. Therefore
<br />Be It Resolved, By the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, that Improvement Resolution No. 25887 1949, duly passed by this Board on April
