506 <br />A letter was received from Mr. C. H. Annala relative to a petition to condemn an <br />area for the widening of West Calvert Street, in which heastates that he wishes to dis- <br />cuss the matter further with the Housing Commission. The Clerk was directed to so in- <br />form the petitioners. <br />A communication was received from the Common Council instructing the Board of Publi <br />Works to notify the operator of the dumping area in the 1300 block of South Bend Avenue, <br />that combustible materials must be kept separated in the dumping area and that they be <br />burned in an isolated area to prevent constant dump fires. The Clerk was directed to <br />write a letter to Mr. Luce informing him of the above motion. <br />Joseph Doczy, 501 West LaSalle Street and William McCubbins, 716 N. Allen Street, <br />appeared before the Board to request the City io use their property at Dollar take as a <br />dump for street sweepings._ No action was taken as this area is five miles from the Cour <br />House and outside the City Limits, <br />PARKIN' METER DEPARTMENT: _Mrs Maurice_C_..
