Ala_ members were present. T mutes of the last meeting were read and <br />approved, There were no claims of supT tiers to be approved. <br />TRAFFIC DEPARTI,=T: Mr. Ernest !-.iller, Traffic Engineer, was present and matters pertai <br />ing to his department were discussed. <br />PARKING IETER DEPARTME-1 T : Mr. Maurice Vennet, , Auditor, presented his report for the <br />weekending January 15, 1949. <br />ETTGITMEERIIGDEFARTT ENT: A letter was received -Prom the Green Arrow Parking, Inc,, <br />reporting their change in prices for parking cars. This was ordered filed. <br />Mr. Van Gates, representing the L. 0. Gates Chevrolet Company, 333 South La.Fayettc <br />Boulevard, appeared before the Doard to ask permission to erect a canvas canopy over <br />the sidewalk at their place of business from January 21st to 28th inclusive. Permission <br />f eras granted. <br />A peti :.ion was received asking for a change in the name of 'Dorothy Street, making <br />it Dorothy Boulevard. This was referred to the Perk Department. <br />VACATIO.i _IESOLUT ± O-r NO. 2583 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the assessment roll showing the award <br />of damages and the assessment of be.efits in the matter of the vacation of Victoria <br />Street from Tw Yckenharn Drive to `fork Road under Vacation Resolution No. 2583. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no rer.onstrators appeared and no written re- <br />monstrances zrere filed. The Clerk of the -13oa.rd submitted proofs of publication of <br />notices and ,same were found sufficient, and the Board, therefore, finds that the several <br />lots and parcels of land have been benefitted and dana.ged in the amounts shoran on said <br />(roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said assessment roll and <br />j declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification, and <br />t'rlQ proceedings closed, and the street vacated, upon receipt of the amount of benefit <br />assessments from the various property owners so benefited and all proceedings ha.d with <br />f reference to said street vacation are hereby sustained. <br />S GRE1 T DEPARTMENT:Mr.Melton 0.
