<br />WHERREAS, The Board of Public .L"' rks and Sa,f c ty of the City of South Dena, Indi_a.na.,
<br />ha.s .determined that it would be for the best interests of said City and its citizens
<br />to provide for the construction and improvement of certain sewers in said City and that
<br />• the construction and improvement of such sewers is necessary in order to protect the
<br />health and well-being of the citizens and will be of ,, cneral benefit to the entire
<br />City; and.
<br />%,rIIEREAS I the Doard of Public Works and Sa.f et�'r finds that the estimated costs of the
<br />construction and improves ent of said sewers and the incidental expenses in connection
<br />the2ewith will be in the amount of One "!illion Do'_lars (�1, 000, 000.00) ; now therefore,
<br />i BE IT RtjSOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Sa �. cty of the City of South mend,
<br />Indiana, that this Board request the City Controller and the Common Council to take
<br />proper steps ira.,.ediately to provide the necessary funds for said purpose, in the amount
<br />of One I',lillion Dollars (")1,000,000.00) and to tha.t end that a copy of this resolution
<br />• be filed with the City Controller and the City Clerk, and presented to the Cor_r-.on Counci
<br />at the next meeting thereof.

<br />The Clerk of the Board having, shown sufficient proofs of publication and no rcmonstra.-
<br />tors having appeared a.nd no t;ir itten remonstrances having been fi �_ed with the Clerk, it
<br />was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the said resolution be finally adopted
<br />a.n.d the said alley be va.ca.ted. The Engineering Depa.rtn;ent is directed to prepare an
