<br />ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: An Excavation bond was approved and ordered filed for Michael
<br />Toma.szewski & Sons.
<br />Contractors bonds were approved and ordered filed foi� I. D. Lant, New Carlisle,
<br />and the Peed Construction Company.
<br />A plat of Twyckenham Hills Addition, Section "A", was approved by the Board.
<br />A letter was received from the City Plan Commission in which they indicate that they
<br />approve the vacation of a portion of South Iowa Street which does not overlap the present
<br />location of Vermont Place.

<br />RiESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC 19ORKS OF THE, CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA: That it is
<br />desirable to vacate the following:
<br />Iowa Street between Ford Street and Dunham Street, except therefrom: So much of sai
<br />part of Iowa Street as lies within the dedication of Vermont Place by the supplemental
<br />Flat of Belleville Second Unit covering Blocks "C", "D117 tiEll and "E" thereof.
<br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially effected by such vacation:
<br />Lots numbered 194 to 228 inclusive, Replat of Belleville Second Unit.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 13th day of August and on the
<br />20th day of August, 1948, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and the iideekly i'irror.
<br />This Board, at its office in the City Hall, on the 30th day of August, 1948 at ll:'00
