387 • 11 U • • • A petition was presented to the Board which was in the following words and figures, to -wit: ENTRY OF PETITION PRESENTED The Board of Public 1,11orks and Safety hereby receives and refers to the City Civil Eng- ineer for investigation and report petitions as follows: R Petition of Mrs. Harold, Elmore, 81LF 25th Street and sixty-five others for grading and paving of the roadway of Twenty-fifth street from Mishawaka Avenue North to the Grand Trunk Railroad. Dated: July 12, 1948 BOARDOF WORKS: Three bids were received for an air conditioning system for the Mlayor' office and the bid of the Englewood Electrical Supply Company was accepted,for two units at a total of $495.00. PARKING NITERS: This being the date set for receivingbids for parking meters for the City of South Bend, the following bids were opened and publicly read: Dual Parking Meter Cor-pany Canton, Ohio McGee -Hale Park-O-Meter Company, ,Oklahoma City, Okla Duncan NFeter Corporation, Chicago, 22, Illinois Duncan Meter Corporation, Chicago, Illinois R Karpa.rk Corporation, Cincinnati, Ohio M. H. Rhodes, Inc. Hartford, Conn. International I•eters, Inc., New York, 17, New York Idon-collusion affidavit and certified check for $61270.00 accompanied bid. Parking meters as per bid and specifications, per unit $62.00 Non -collusion affidavit and bid bond in the amount of $61200.00 accompanied bid. 954 parking meters furnished and installed at65.00 per unit as per specifications i on -collusion affidavit and certified check for $6,800.00 accompanied bid. 950 or more :automaton parking meters at $7079 per unit. Delivered and installed $75.79 per unit Non -collusion affidavit and bid bond for $6,573.05 accompanied bid. 950 more or less Hiller Parking Meters at,364.19 per unit.
